Community Schools are a TEAM effort!

Diehl’s Corporate Partner Coalition

In addition to financially supporting Diehl as a community school, Diehl’s Corporate Partner Coalition contributed to a massive effort to aide families in need during the 2021 holiday season. In 2020, during a time of exacerbated need due to the pandemic, the idea for holiday support was originally launched; this past year, every member of the Diehl Coalition donated gifts and food items for families who could not afford holiday goods. Some partners “sponsored” multiple families, many of whom were quite large. Immediately prior to the delivery of the gifts in December, the Diehl community room was completely filled to the brim with donations!

Lead Partner: Mercyhurst University

As well as providing support and capacity building as the Lead Partner advisor on Diehl’s CSLT, Mercyhurst University graciously made contributions to students and families throughout the 21-22 year. MU’s Educational Honor Society (Kappa Delta PI) held two successful drives, one for winter clothing and one for baby wipes, both much-needed necessities for Diehl families.

The Mercyhurst athletic team also held a food drive for students’ favorite foods!
