CAREER FIELDS The Marine Corps offers 18 career fields in which you can become a leader. Some of them are Communications, Logistics, Intelligence, Public Affairs, Military Police, Finance and Computer Science. The Marine Corps is an organization that builds leaders. In each of these fields, you’ll be given the authority and responsibility that most college graduates seek but seldom achieve.

GUARANTEED LAW The Marine Corps has a dedicated group of attorneys who are also Marine Officers. The field is open to students who are seniors in college or currently enrolled in law school. Marine Corps Judge Advocates (attorneys) handle their own cases and have a great deal of trial time. They are generally compensated for their law degree and are paid a salary, which is competitive with that of many civilian firms. STAY IN SCHOOL. TRAIN FOR YOUR FUTURE. FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT

Springfield, MO—The Springfield Symphony Orchestra’s 6th Annual Gala featuring the award-winning Motown group Spectrum will take place on May 31, 2014 at the Ramada Oasis Convention Center starting at 5:30 p.m. Black tie will be optional. Guests in attendance will be able to enjoy a wine reception, dinner, live and silent auctions and a two hour performance with the Springfield Symphony by this first class vocal quartet.

“I am very excited that at our annual Gala, the Springfield Symphony will be playing with Spectrum - an amazingly talented vocal quartet out of Las Vegas, said Kyle Wiley Pickett, music director/conductor for the Springfield Symphony. “The singers in Spectrum have recreated the sound of the Four Tops and the Temptations in a spectacular fashion. Their performance with the Symphony will showcase the Motown singing and dancing you expect,

backed up by Spectrum’s band and the full Springfield Symphony. These guys are unbelievably talented. There’s a great reason that Spectrum was voted Best of Las Vegas two years in a row: their performance is absolutely electric. I have had the privilege of working with Spectrum twice. I must admit that the first time, I didn’t know quite what to expect, but it quickly became one of my all-time favorite symphony shows. I’d never played a symphony show where I had women screaming in the aisles before! Spectrum’s symphony show is a tour de force of Motown sound. You will be hearing top hits from the Motown catalogue, backed by lush strings and screaming brass. I know you won’t be able to stay in your seats for this concert!” The purpose of the Gala is to benefit the Symphony’s Educational and Community Outreach Programs. These free concerts, such as our Spooky Symphony continued on page 2
