BIOCONTROL SOLUTIONS FOR PLANT HEALTH (BOOST)

Implementation of eco-friendly plant production technologies minimizing the hazards and risks to human health and the environment is a major challenge worldwide. This challenge is faced by all economic sectors producing or using plants: agriculture, agrifood, cosmetics, pharmaceutics. The MSc BOOST program is specifically designed to grow the next generation of professionals in plant protection.

FUTURE CAREERS

Indicative salary: €24,000 - €28,000 per year

Researcher, Agronomist, Plant pathologist, Entomologist, Phytosanitary inspector, Biosafety expert, etc.

International program, fully taught in English

>COURSE CONTENT OVERVIEW

This program is a two-year program. Typical core modules include

• Introduction to Biocontrol

• Biodiversity for Biocontrol in Agrosystems

• Data analysis

• Natural products for biocontrol

• Analytical chemistry and formulation

• Plant responses to abiotic stresses & sustainable management

• Interactions: Evolution & adaptation

• Biocontrol sustainability and risk assessment

CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION

• Qualification equivalent to a 3-year degree (180 ECTS).

• A strong motivation to specialize in research and innovation in the fields of genetic plant improvement, biological control, defense stimulation or biostimulation.

• A high level of proficiency in English .
