How research is organized Research activities take place at Research Centres/Departments within the academic units. Research goals and policies are defined taking into account the guidelines of the Portuguese Research Council (FCT, Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia), such as the evaluation of research centres and the calls for projects.
