The SapienCE annual reports provides an insight to our main projects and activities at the centre throughout the calendar year. Centre for Early Sapiens Behaviour (SapienCE) is a Centre of Excellence (CoE), funded by the Norwegian Research Council. Over the next decade, SapienCE will consolidate UiB and Norway's position as a world leader in early human origins research. SapienCE was established in 2017. The centre is built around a team of international scientists specialized in the fields of archaeology, psychology and climatology. The inter-disciplinary team is led by Professor Christopher Henshilwood. SapienCE is collaborating with the University of the Witwatersrand, Norce, Royal Holloway University of London, Université de Bordeaux and Universität Tübingen.
