What else do we do? We have a number of qualified fitness instructors and personal trainers on hand to offer advice for anyone wishing to join the Fitness Suite during the year. As well as this, you will have the chance to join in fitness classes such as Zumba and Circuit Training as of September.
When can you use it? During term-time the centre is open from 8:30am-10pm Monday to Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday. During holiday periods the facility has reduced opening hours, which are 8:30-5pm Monday –Friday.
What generic courses do we run? SARC is a nationally recognised training centre for many sports and qualifications and each year we provide a large number of coaching courses and workshops on which students, staff and local coaches/teachers can enrol. This year’s current list is published in the brochure.
What do we do? As shown in the brochure, we have many facilities which are used regularly for competitive sport throughout the week. Equally these facilities can be used to play recreational sports at any time where there is a space available. The facilities are all free to book with a small equipment charge taken for any equipment borrowed from SARC.
Where can I find out more information? SARC is based towards the far end of the Bishop Otter campus, with the main reception adjacent to the Astroturf.
