Ů‹ Preface by the Honorary Chairman of the Award Sanabel Alhasad Award is an award that emphasizes the importance of community work and recognizes the distinguished members of our community, highlighting the amount of loyalty and care that we carry to our beloved generous country. Sanabel Alhasad Award is targeting seven developmental projects dedicated to serve our precious community, and a tribute to the efforts that have been put in order to accelerate the developmental wheel of the society the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general and the Eastern Province region specifically. We highly appreciate the efforts done by the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, as being the pioneers in the field of community service by launching the Sanabel AlHasad award. I am honored and privileged to sponsor any project that serves the public interest, especially if this project is provided by our universities, as I am confident enough that it went through a lengthy process of study and research, and that it will achieve the goals and aspirations that are meant for it. Preface by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees: For the interest of directing the efforts and guidance toward sustainability and ensure achieving the main goal of initiating the “Social Responsibility Bank” at the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, “Governor of Eastern Province Sanabel Alhasad Award” has been launched. The aim of this award is to invest in the potentials of our university staff through encouraging them to initiate innovative sustainable developing projects, through partnerships with leading private sectors in social responsibility. We are privileged that "Sanabel Al-Hasad Award" has been adopted by his royal highness Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud, as he believes in the importance of the social responsibility and fair competition for the benefit of our society and the Kingdom. About the Award It is a yearly award that has been launched by the Deanship of Community Service and Sustainable Development at the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University on the 1st of Muharram 1437 hijra, to support and develop sustainable leading projects in the field of community service, adopted by his royal highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and sponsored by the pioneers in social responsibility. Vision A yearly award that enhances social responsibility development. Mission Investing in the potential abilities of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University staff to enhance the societyً with sustainable development projects that benefit the society and the Kingdom. Objectives Encourage university members to enrich the community with sustainable developmental projects that benefit the community members. Create a healthy competition between various university's colleges, deanships, research centers and the university hospitals and motivate them to innovate, excel and lead. Provide a chance to the leading organizations in the community to sponsor the award and to contribute in enhancing community service. Provide a role model of community partnerships between universities and the private sector.

The Award Areas Sanabel awards are given for the social responsibility projects conducted in the main three areas of sustainable development, " Economy, Environment, and Society." Award Conditions The nominated project must be distinguished based on the approved criteria for selecting the sustainable development projects. The nominated project must be documented in the Social Responsibility Bank, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. The project must be implemented, and continuous execution is in going until the year of nomination. Adhere to the application period for the award. Nomination of the project must be through the Social Responsibility Bank Platform. A site with the university may nominate more than one project per the academic year. The project must not have won the award during the past three cycle (3 years) of the award. Those who applied for the award in the previous cycles and have not won, they can apply to the award again. Providing, that the project had some achievements, modification and/or developments and results include new value. Social Responsibility Bank has the right to request any additional information about the nominated project that it is needed to distinguishing process. Social Responsibility Bank has the right to exclude any nominated project with incomplete information.

Financial Aspects of Care Exchange The sponsorship money will be spent on supporting and developing the seven winning social responsibility projects of “Sanabel Al-Hassad Award” and assuring their sustainability.

The Foundations of Selecting the Sustainable Community Development Project Applicable: the project should be realistic and achievable. Measurable: the project should be linked to measurable performance indicators. Effectiveness: the project should contribute in solving important community issues related to one of sustainable development dimensionsًً. Innovation and creativity: the project should be innovative and creative. Environmental preservation: the project should not negatively affect theً environment. Organizational sustainability: the project should have clear and sustainable organizational parameters. Financial sustainability: the project may have a financial plan to ensure the sustainability of funding. Beneficial sustainability: the project should have continued benefit for both current and future generations.
