The future of Parkinson’s care Thousands of people live with Parkinson’s in the UK but for many, the right treatment is out of reach. We’re determined to change that - we need your help to establish the world’s first integrated therapy centre offering comprehensive support to those that need it most, while advocating for new treatments that could give hope to so many worldwide. We have launched a fundraising campaign to secure the £600,000 needed to make our vision a reality and ask that you consider supporting our appeal. Based on the University of Kent’s Canterbury campus, the Parkinson's Centre for Integrated Therapy will provide free access to a range of evidence-based nonpharmacological treatments and complementary/wellness resources, so that multiple Parkinson’s symptoms can be managed all under one roof. www.kent.ac.uk/parkinsons

Little Amal visits Kent Standing 3.5 metres high, 9 year old refugee puppet ‘Little Amal’ had walked nearly 8000km from the border of Syria when she arrived at the Canterbury Campus on the 21st October. Her journey intended to focus attention on the urgent needs of millions of young refugees worldwide and the need to change the narrative around human movement, a powerful subject explored through the focus on Migration and Movement at Kent. For some time, the University has been providing support to international students and academics at risk of persecution, and has a fund to allow alumni and staff to personally contribute to this important work. The fund supports students and academics to continue their education and research at Kent. If you would like further information about our work with refugees or wish to support the Kent Refuge Fund please contact us via email to Giving@kent.ac.uk

The Mike Wilkins Scholarship
Support music-making at Kent
The Kent Opportunity Fund
The Mike Wilkins Football Scholarship Fund has been established by the University of Kent in recognition of the dedication and hard work of Mike Wilkins, MBE, Director of Sport at the University of Kent from 1992 to 2007. Scholarships are awarded annually to nominated students at the University of Kent.
Students from all subjects can participate in our flourishing programme of music-making, and by supporting scholarships you can encourage further excellence and development in extracurricular music performance.
Your donations help Kent students everyday: helping to ensure that every student has the support they need in times of hardship; providing bursaries which allow gifted students from low income backgrounds to continue their education and fully participate in university life alongside their peers; and allowing us to offer postgraduate scholarships funded entirely through gifts from alumni.
If you would like further details or wish to support these funds please contact us via email at Giving@kent.ac.uk or write to Giving, Rutherford Annex, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 7NZ.
