ABOUT ME
Adventurous travelers. Ideas come from travel. As a person who loves adventure, I have always been inspired by land, people and culture. Photo taken with a group of artists from 6 countries on the Art & Culture Exchange Ha Giang, 2019
A free spirit. Ideas can also come from simple things in life. Photographing with the “film in film” technique had given me a lot of inspiration for the “sense of life” of the people and my beloved Vietnam, and it was a new hobby after working and studying. Hanoi 2020
A practical interior designer. The inspiration for projects starts with the first straits. Here are the sketches for the concept design of the project that I and my colleagues created during the internship at AAI Company. Hanoi 2022
A neverending learner. The learning journey in the UK offered challenges, opportunities to communicate, learn in an international environment. Below is a picture when my classmates and I teamed up with ABDA Design & Built in the real Fifty Five Hospitality project, Farthingstone, Northamptonshire. University of Northampton, 2023

In addition, self-study, work and communicate with lectures are also key elements that helped me integrate into the new environment. Below is a picture of the technician who helped me complete the structure model for the Final Major Project. University of Northampton, 2023

Inspired by the idea of a coffee factory, Hope Coffee utilizes the movement of the machine by an industrial design style. The main materials used in the space are wood, iron, and steel, with warm tones and gears on the ceiling and floor, curved wood which makes customers feel like visiting a real factory. Besides being a space, it also brings the element of story-telling which help to give a deep impression and experience to customers. Coffee shop

Story Display Area - Ground floor - Visualization The “Human Library,” true to its name, is a library of people. Here, people can “borrow” a person and ask them to tell you their life stories or simply have conversations. Every human “book” from the bookshelf represents a group in our society that is often subjected to prejudice, stigmatization or discrimination because of their lifestyle, disability, belief, social status, and/or ethnic origin. The Human Library is a place where difficult questions are expected, appreciated and answered. Place: Coventry City of Culture

CONCEPT The Human Library creates a safe space for dialogue where topics are discussed openly between our human books and their readers.
Target Demographic
Our book: The Human Library is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue.
Age 5-18
• Children & Teenagers
• Adults Age 18+
We meet our goals by creating a special dialogue room, where taboo topics can be discussed openly and without condemnation. A place where people who would otherwise never talk find room for conversation.
• Retired Age 65+
Purpose: The main focus of this library is for users to seek advices and interaction with other humans, rather than laptops, smart devices, or mobiles phone.
OUR STORY
Body Mod Extreme I am not someone to be afraid of and I fully understand that my look can be overwhelming to some people...
Bipolar Periodically I must take extra consideration to my health. For example, enough sleep is essential...
Refugee I left everything behind, a life I can never go back to, I had no choice...

Victims of sexual abuse Sharing my experiences like an open book I may somehow help to create better awareness...

CONTEXT HUMAN LIBRARY | COVENTRY CITY
Observational drawing, BHS Building, The Market Way
Site Outline Project Location: BHS Building Coventryv Market Way CV1 1DF
Heritage Category: Listed Building Grade: II
The selected site is the former BHS Building, an anchor store of the Precinct in the centre of Coventry. Research identified the facilities around the site provide social and entertainment services for inhabitants. This creates an understanding the needs for a modern leisure and education venue that offers a range of services within a wellorganised, safe, and welcoming environment. The Design Research has shown this building can provide the ideal and meaningful platform for an intergenerational gathering place that will attract a wider public and become more accessible.v

PROCESS
PROPOSAL
With large population densities in tightly k nit cross- generational communities in the Centre of Hanoi, Vietnam families have achieved additional space within apar tments by randomly adding ' Tiger- cages" to the facades. Adaptive architec tural system using existing struc tures maintain community but fail to improve life's aesthetic, cultural or environmental qualities in low rise apar tment block

KIM LIEN APARTMENT HANOI VIETNAM 2023
Restruc turing the space in Kim Lien Apar tment for the newly expanded facades in order to maximize the room for people.
MULTIIGENERATIONS AT KIM LIEN APARTMENT
Creating a connec ting space system between the two blocks so that residents can access the building horizontally and ver tically. Steel frame struc ture on the facades can be easily moved, installed, suitable for the ongoing- growing 25 population.
PROPOSED FACADES
The block formation of the Kim-Lien complex proposal would formalise the adaptive use of new Tiger- Cage balconies. The whole is forming a cohesive, viable enhancement whilst ex tending the City Urban Forest concept that inter twines around and between the buildings creating new environments and bettering community ownership with a “sense of place”.
SOCIAL IMPACT
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
RIGOROUS RESEARCH AND COMPELLING INSIGHTS
The system includes green spaces: namely a park and rooftop greenhouses for residents. Moreover, it also proposes to remove the tiger cages on the façades and provide a large public space on the ground oor for outdoor ac tivities such as doing morning exercises, bike riding, and sightseeing.
A questionnaire was put together and handed to residents from 4 diierent countries ( Vietnam, Latvia, Lithuania, and Croatia) in order to identify the level of well-being in the living space. • 62% had an average 12hr at home. • 75% repor ted no place in their living space to just go relax, play, or take a break . • 58% expressed the need for some sor t of public space for social interac tion. The sur vey revealed residents have no place to sociative. More than half of the questioned residents suggested some sor t of public space solution for overall stress, produc tivity, and connec tion.
PORTFOLIO CLOUDY NGUYEN
Tak ing Kim Lien Complex as an example, the proposal creates a sustainable ecosystem for multi- generational residents which could be replicated for similar buildings in Hanoi and Vietnam. To bring a safe, healthy, and sustainable living space for multi- generations, func tional subdivisions are added such as park ing areas, business spaces (market, shophouse), public space, parks, greenhouses, and façade renovation based on the building's structural framework
The greenhouses will provide clean vegetables for the whole building, and at the same time purify the air, creating an urban forest in the sk y. Multi generations: young, adult, older people, and future generations will be able to develop and enjoy a sustainable and healthy life in this "urban forest".

VIABILITY
According to the sur vey for 46 residents who live in Kim Lien Complex:
• 65,2% wanted to replace the tiger cage with another ar-
• 19.6% did not want to renovate the space inside, nor remove the tiger cages.
• 41,3% thought public spaces such as markets, parks, and
• Because it will aaec t the life and business ac tivities of the households here, and abolish what they deem as the historical value of the building. Additionally, it is a Grade II conser vation building. Therefore, the projec t proposes to keep the building struc ture, only aaec ting the facade, which will not aaec t too much the daily life of the people here.

save the budget in the future. Because the building has shown signs of damage, if not inter vened in time, the building may collapse, or cause re, causing damage to people and proper ty. Fur thermore, the proposed steel modular 26 struc ture at the façade is removable, which is convenient for future installation and repair.
The proposal does not aaec t the struc tural frame of the building, only renovating the facades and re -planning the space, so it can both preser ve and retain the value of the building. The system can be exibly applied to diierent buildings around Vietnam. I nstead of having to build a whole new projec t, this renovation projec t will save money, while also becoming a sustainable ecosystem.
