“The University of Redlands enabled me to sculpt my education with the help of accomplished professors and incredible mentors. The experience gave me a space where I was constantly challenged and stimulated by my classes, campus programs, and clubs.”
—Tinbite Legesse ’19, International Relations and Public Policy major with an emphasis in peace and conflict studies Beijing, China
“On campus I have been able to lead and contribute as a leader of RISA (Redlands International Students Association) where international students can have a safe space to share and practice their cultures, bring awareness to international students on campus, be included in conversations about representation, give a sense of home to the international students in this community, and empower, support, and encourage international students on campus.”
—Gavi Dhariwal ‘23, 3-2 Engineering program Jaipur, India
“International students at Redlands encounter the same range of opportunities for engagement outside the classroom as any other Redlands student. Currently, our international students work as tutors, research assistants, in residence life, and in admissions. They are also members of the student government, leaders of diversity organizations on campus, and work with Outdoors Programs. They’re also supported as international students through the Redlands International Student Association, which offers programs, trips, and activities throughout the year on their own and in cooperation with other clubs and organizations on campus.”
—Steve Wuhs , Assistant Provost for Internationalization and Political Science Professor
