How does today work?
The following sessions are optional, and you will have had the chance to book onto them when registering for the event online. Don’t worry if you didn’t book, or if you want to change your mind, it’s no problem Tea, coffee, and water are on tap all day so please feel free to help yourselves.

14:55-15:20 Salford’s Postgraduate Researcher Training and Development
The Doctoral School team will cover the different entry paths, levels and modes of research study. You will be guided through the application requirements and how to find a supervisor
Support while you study is key, and the team will provide an overview of support at Salford, including wellbeing, counselling, disability support, diversity, and academic support.
Our team will provide an overview of the process of applying for the Masters/Doctoral Loan and some of the additional financial support available.
This finance talk focuses on all research degrees (PhD, MPhil etc)
At Salford, Doctoral Students undertake a structured training programme which supports their professional development, assists them in the successful completion of their degree, and helps them to achieve their future career goals.

Life at Salford Talk

We realise it’s a little quirky to have this in the middle of the day rather than first thing, but as the morning is optional, it’s the first time the whole group will be together. You will have the opportunity to hear from one of our current students.
Campus Tours from 4pm
Led by our Student Ambassadors, take a tour of our Peel Park or Frederick Road campuses. You can book your tour at the campus tour gazebo. Please allow at least 45 minutes for the tour
Drop ins and stands
There are also several drop-in stands to talk to from 13:00-18:00 in the foyer of the SEE Building. We’ll have representation from:
