“…the efforts of all the tutors were remarkable. They encouraged us to speak, corrected our mistakes, and helped us in writing. They supported me a lot.”

This one-year course is right for you if you have finished high school in your own country but don’t yet have the qualifications to start your undergraduate course.

The International Foundation Year (IFY) will teach you English and skills including how to write an essay, and you will study subjects relating to your chosen degree course. Our English language classes are accredited by the British Council and we are ranked in the top 10 UK University English Language Centres (EL Gazette, 2020). Look at ‘Course listings’ from page 82 to see what undergraduate degrees we offer, or visit our website salford.ac.uk.

English language requirements: All applicants for the IFY are required to have a minimum of 4.5 IELTS for UKVI to join the programme. Start dates: You can start in either September or January.
