FEES AND FINANCE

To make moving to a new country as easy as possible we have created the following guide to show all the fees you will need to pay, plus information on the funding options that are available.

HOW MUCH WILL I NEED?

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) office requires that you must provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself throughout the whole period of your studies. Without this, you will not be able to obtain a Student Route visa.

Costs that you will need to consider: / Living costs: a minimum of £9,207* per year (maintained 28 days prior to your visa application). / Study deposit (paid before you begin your course): £5,500*. This is required before we can issue you an unconditional offer and give you your Confirmation of Acceptance for

Studies (CAS). / Undergraduate fees: £14,700 - £17,100.* / Postgraduate taught (full-time) fees: £15,300 - £18,990* per year. / International Foundation Year fees: £12,250* / The Immigration Health Surcharge, which is currently £ 470* per year.

*Please note all fees are correct at time of printing (September 2021). For more information on living costs, please visit gov.uk/student-visa

You can choose to pay your fees in full before your course starts and save 3% of the net total, or in five equal monthly instalments. For specific course fees, please visit the relevant course page on our website at www.salford.ac.uk

For further information on the Immigration Health Surcharge, please go to www.immigration-healthsurcharge.service.gov.uk/checker/type

Students from the USA are eligible for a study deposit waiver if they qualify for a US Federal Study Loan. More information on this is available online www.salford.ac.uk/askus/support/adviceinternational-students

MEET SIMRAN

Simran is currently studying LLM International Business Law at Salford and was awarded an international scholarship for her academic achievements. We caught up with her to find out how she is finding her experience so far:

“I knew in my heart that I wanted to be a corporate lawyer and receiving the University of Salford International Scholarship enabled me to pursue my passion fearlessly. This scholarship has helped me in several ways – I can pursue my dreams to be a lawyer and give back to the community that shapes me, it also means I can achieve my goals because I have a future full of possibilities. It helped me financially and I can further enhance my university experience by participating in various activities. When my family found that I had won the scholarship, they were extremely proud of me and they quickly started making arrangements for me to pursue my passion.”

Simran Jain,

LLM in International Business Law
