Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship USA’s Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship provides a portable, challenging, and comprehensive balance of clinical practice and didactic coursework. Portable: Fellows in Training can pursue the Fellowship on- or off-campus in any qualified site around the country, have the option to complete their program in 1-3 years, and access almost all coursework and resources online. Challenging: The University of St. Augustine offers full-time and part-time fellowships on our FL campus. The on-campus position focuses not only on learning advanced Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy skills, but also on learning how to teach in an academic setting. Comprehensive: Participants can also earn academic credit toward the transitional DPT, EdD, or DHSc programs at the University of St. Augustine.

Fellowship Requirements Patient Care Hours: 440 Mentored Hours: 160 (1:1 hours) Pre-Requisites: E1 & S1 seminars, 2 years clinical experience in orthopaedics or completion of an Accredited Orthopaedic Residency Program Length of Fellowship: Minimum of 12 months, Maximum of 36 months Location: Anywhere in the United States Journal Club: Attend 12 and lead 3 Case Rounds: Attend and present at 12 case rounds Conference Requirement: Attend one AAOMPT Conference Poster Requirement: Submit 1 poster presentation Program Starts: Rolling admission

USA’s Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship offers practicing physical therapists the opportunity to enhance their manual physical therapy skills through a focused curriculum with advanced clinical and didactic instruction that is intensive and extensive. The Fellowship provides a mentored process of learning which achieves advanced clinical specialty skills for both psychomotor and didactic learning, and facilitates the enhancement of decision making through critical thinking and problem solving.

Accreditation The University of St. Augustine received approval from the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE) to become an accredited Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program in 2003 and was re-accredited in 2008 and 2013. The program is also recognized by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).
