WELCOME TO A CITY OF
SOUL
In Memphis, we don’t sit around and wait for things to happen. We jump in and get our hands dirty. That’s how we’ve changed the world so many times before, from how it works to how it plays to how it sees itself. The UofM has always been a big part of that. In fact, we consider the entire city an extension of our campus. The can-do, will-do spirit that powers Memphis energizes everything we do. During your time with us, you’ll tap into this creative force and find ways to let it fuel your own passions.

"As a UofM student, I can attest that my experiences have been truly worthwhile and I have received a quality collegiate education. Guidance from student-focused resources like Career Services, Student Leadership & Involvement and Educational Support Programs has provided countless opportunities for me to showcase my passion for knowledge, leadership and service. I am beyond confident that I am equipped with the necessary tools to succeed in my educational and professional endeavors."
"My two favorite things about the UofM are the access to opportunity and diversity. From getting the chance to intern at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital last summer, to running for senator at-large for the Student Government Association, and multiple scholarships available to help fund one's education, the UofM offers immense opportunities to all students."

"Coming from a small school in Mississippi, I was attracted to the diversity of the UofM and the exposure to new cultures. As a first-gen student, the First Scholars Program really helped me transition to college life. The support from the staff and other first-gen students helped me feel right at home. I was able to connect to and benefit from all of the resources on campus, including Career Services, Financial Aid and the Counseling Center."
"Coming to the UofM was one of the best decisions that I made. The culture, opportunities and people make the UofM special. I have gotten a true college experience and have been given unique opportunities through resources available from Career Services to ensure that I am prepared for life after college!"

RESIDENCE LIFE
WELCOME
HOME
You’re ready to do things you’ve never done before, to have new experiences and meet new people. Living on campus makes that possible. Here’s why: Statistics show that you’ll probably have a higher GPA. You’re more likely to graduate on time, more likely to attend class and more likely to take advantage of faculty office hours, tutors, libraries, study groups and advisor support. Everything you need is right here — great food, free WiFi, laundry service, cultural events and student activities. No worries about the hassles of traffic or parking. Our free Blue Line shuttle gets you around campus quickly, and you’re right in the middle of it all — people, events, classes, 24-hour labs, libraries and more.
TIGERS LIVE HERE Traditional residence halls or contemporary apartments, student-only facilities or family housing. At the UofM, you’ll find the ideal living situation for where you are right now. Explore all your options at memphis.edu/reslife or take a virtual tour at memphis.edu/virtualtour
BEYOND THE PLATE Our newly upgraded dining system will continue the trend toward a wider range of healthy options, including more locally-sourced foods, while expanding space for popular chains such as Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Subway and more. Pop-up food stations and local food trucks on campus add to the variety and make grabbing a bite even more convenient.
