When it comes to health and safety on campus, the Maverick COVID Response website has it covered!
Testing is now offered at the Scott Conference Center, located at 6450 Pine Street (no longer located in Maverick Landing). Parking is available across the street in Lot 14.

UNO CARES PROGRAM
UNDERGR A DU AT E C OUR SE R E TA K E Students who have taken a “W” for a Fall 2020 undergraduate course are invited to retake one class in Spring 2021 at no cost. View the details and eligibility criteria here.
The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented hardship for college students across the country, but the University of Nebraska at Omaha has created the UNO Cares Program to help students accelerate their academic journeys amid these new and unique challenges.
S T UDEN T FEE R EDUC T ION As announced by Chancellor Gold on November 16, a reduction of student fees is in effect for both the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters for students enrolled in both online and in-person courses.
In an email to the UNO community campus leaders announced the new program which will serve as a campus-wide resource for students for the Spring 2021 semester.
T ECHNOL OGY R E S OURCE S Students with insufficient technology resources can request free access to laptops and WiFi hotspots by contacting our IT team.
FL E X IBL E CL A S SE S UNO is exploring shifting more “remote” classes to be “online” classes to give students greater flexibility as they navigate their unique schedules.
S CHOL A R SHIP S Funding from the Nebraska Legislature has provided new Nebraska Career Scholarships for several majors and minors. There is no application to complete. Eligible students enrolled in qualifying programs (majors and minors) will be considered automatically. Learn more from the Office of Financial Support and Scholarships.

STUDENT INVOLVEMENT FAIR
Students get the chance to meet with Student Organizations, Fraternities, Sororities, and Sports Clubs. The fair is digital, but the opportunities are just as real. Attendees can check in online.
THROW BACK TO SCHOOL
Score free school supplies (and maybe a few other prizes) at this drive-thru event hosted by Maverick Productions.
The Office of Spirit and Tradition is saying, “Welcome back, Mavericks!” with Durango Days Take Two. Taking place January 11-15, this week-long event offers involvement opportunities, social distance-friendly activities, entertainment, and food for students as they return for the spring semester. View the daily events online and encourage your student to check it out! The Office of Spirit and Tradition reminds you to wear your mask and protect yourself and your fellow Mavericks while you enjoy Durango Days events as well as throughout the spring semester.

Every January, Campus Recreation organizes Commit to Fit, a goal setting program that gives students the opportunity to commit to a goal and action for 30 days. Participants are backed by the support and accountability that come with Commit to Fit, keeping success in sight. Help your student start the year the healthy way by encouraging them to take advantage of this program.
