II. Organizational Context The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide.
III. Functions / Key Results Expected Summary of Key Functions: The National Intern will work under the overall supervision of the UNV Programme Officer (PO) in Cambodia and under the direct supervision of the UNV Programme Assistant. S/he will assist with key administrative tasks, preparing and publishing promotional materials, advocacy and general communications with UN Volunteers in Cambodia and external partners. 1. Publication of UNV promotional materials: • Research information about volunteerism globally and in Cambodia for possible publication on the UNV Facebook page, in particular from national organizations; • Collect information for the UNV Cambodia brochure and posters; • Translate promotional materials into Khmer when applicable. 2. Advocacy: • Help with promoting UNV and volunteerism for development in Cambodia; • Assist in promoting national volunteer schemes among Cambodian populations, especially youth, university students, young professionals etc.; • Assist in outreaching to local partners working on youth and volunteerism; • Assist in mobilizing volunteers; • Assist in the preparation for the commemoration of the International Volunteer Day, Volunteerism Caravan, National Forum on Volunteerism and other events/missions organized by the UNV Field Unit; • Assist in mobilizing volunteer network for events/missions organized by the UNV Field Unit or VolCam; • Assist in coordinating the work of VolCam Volunteer Envoys; • Support the preparation of the quarterly UNV Fiel Unit e-newsletter; • Other relevant tasks as assigned by the UNV PO and PA.
3. Administrative Support: • Draft and type correspondence, including faxes, e-mails, memoranda and notes to files; • Assist with translations/interpretation from English to Khmer and vice versa; • Assist in developing and maintaining office filing system; • Assist in archiving documents; • Assist in maintaining the inventory list; • Provide support and take minutes during UNV events, (e.g. International Volunteer Day; UNV workshop, meetings, mission, etc.); • Assist in preparation of the office’s financial updates and requests; IV. Recruitment Qualifications Education:

Undergoing 1.-3. year of Bachelor’s studies in International Relations, Communications, ICT, Management, Social Sciences or another relevant field of study.
Experience:
•
Has strong volunteer spirit and willingness to promote Volunteerism. A team-worker, and a solution and detail oriented person, with previous volunteer experience; Good of IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Database;

Language Requirements:
•
Knowledge of multimedia, Graphic design, photography and/or web development would be a strong asset.
•
Fluency in Khmer and English (spoken and written).
