APPLYING TO UNIVERSITY: Three Key Steps

Applying to university can feel like quite a task, so to make it a little less daunting, here’s a three-step guide to help you understand what’s what.

1. Get all the info

• Do your research to help make your university choices

• Make a note of all the deadlines and key dates

• Check the entry requirements of the courses you’re interested in

2. Start your application

• Register on UCAS

• Fill in your details (this will include things like education history and qualifications)

• Get your reference sorted

3. Write your personal statement

This is your chance to shine. Try to include things like:

• Why you want to take that particular course

• Your extracurricular activities that are relevant to your application

• Your skills or qualities that would make you good at the subject

Don’t forget to proofread your personal statement a couple of times!

Once these steps are complete, you’ll be ready to submit your application.
