BIOGRAPHIES
Shaun Evans is a first-year wind conducting doctoral student at the University of Minnesota. He received a master of music degree at the University of California, Los Angeles and a bachelor of arts degree at Georgia State University. His career began as a band director in Cobb County, Georgia, at Harrison High School. He currently lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Hannah, and two dogs. Aundria Speidel is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music education and maintains an active role in the performing arts on and off campus. These opportunities include playing horn in studio, participating in numerous ensembles, serving on staff with the 728 cadets, and volunteer teaching with Band Project. Upon graduation, she hopes to step into a high school teaching role and giving back to the community through her work as a music educator.
Lance Sample serves as assistant director of athletic bands at the University of Minnesota, where he assists the Marching Band, directs the Minnesota Athletic Pep Bands, and teaches conducting. Sample earned degrees from West Virginia University, Florida State University, and The University of Texas at Austin. Preston Weber is a first-year wind conducting master’s student at the University of Minnesota. After graduating with a bachelor of music education from the University of Minnesota, he taught band and orchestra at Hill-Murray School in Maplewood, MN and conducted the Crosstown Community Band in Minneapolis. He lives in Roseville with his daughter and his wife, Olivia, a doctor of psychology candidate.
