BIOGRAPHIES
Kathy Saltzman Romey is Director of Choral Activities at the University of Minnesota and Artistic Director of the 200-voice symphonic chorus, The Minnesota Chorale, which serves as principal chorus for the Minnesota Orchestra. She has prepared or conducted programs with the Westminster Symphonic Choir, Netherlands Radio Choir, Carnegie Hall Festival Chorus, Grant Park Music Festival, and Berkshire Choral Festival. Romey is also choral advisor and chorus master for the Oregon Bach Festival and the Junges Stuttgarter Bach Ensemble. Christopher G. McGinley is a secondyear choral conducting student at the University of Minnesota. He holds faculty positions at Augsburg University (music education) and the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire (conducting and music education). He holds degrees in artist conducting and music education from the University of Oregon and University of Delaware, and pursued further studies in conducting at the Frost School of Music.
Mezzo-soprano Mikalia Bradberry is a second year master’s student at the University of Minnesota pursuing her degree in vocal performance. Ms. Bradberry was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Niagara Falls natives and received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Abilene Christian University. This spring, Bradberry will perform as Madame de Croissey in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites with the University of Minnesota as well as the title role of Lucretia in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia with Arbeit Opera Theatre. She is a former student of Dr. Julie Pruett and is currently under the tutelage of Adriana Zabala. Known for her lyrical and expressive sound, pianist Mary J. Trotter has been referred to as a 'poet at the piano.' Equally at home with operatic and concert repertoire, she is in high demand as a collaborative and vocal coach. Originally from Snohomish, WA, Mary earned her B.A. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Whitworth University and her M.M. in Vocal Accompanying from Peabody Conservatory. She is currently in her final year of doctoral work at the University of Minnesota.
