ENVISION YOUR
Envision a place at the edge of it all. Where all things converge. Envision a vantage point that informs how you see the world. More than envisioning tomorrow — but empowering, engaging and embracing it. Blurring borders and boundaries. Colliding science and spirit. Envision life at the University of San Diego. Ground of infinite perspective. Forever pushing further because here, your vision has no limit.

INS PIR ING SUR ROUN DI N G S USD’s co-founder, Mother Rosalie Clifton Hill, stood on the grounds that would become our campus and declared that “Beauty will attract them; goodness will lead them; but truth will hold them.” This ideal lives on, and you won’t just see it — you’ll feel it. It’s how we look at the world, like we’re at the edge of something greater. These scenic views empower our unparalleled viewpoints. Around every corner of campus lies a new way forward. There’s a vision to be realized here, yours, and it can be found at the heart of our world, at USD.

PE R SONAL I ZED L E A R N I N G Our faculty are not only highly skilled practitioners, specialists and executives, but are also influential role models and mentors who help our students advance outcomes far beyond the imaginable. With classes averaging just 22 students and an open-door policy for all our faculty, a USD education allows for close connections among students and faculty. Those connections begin as early as a student’s first semester, when they are placed in a Living Learning Community (LLC) course that is limited to 18 first-year students and taught by a full-time faculty member who will serve as their academic advisor. But San Diego is so much more than a beautiful landscape. As the eighth largest city in the nation, San Diego offers exceptional opportunities for our students to go beyond the classroom. Biotechnology, sustainability and international trade are a few of the largest industries that our city boasts, but opportunities don’t end there. With the help of our Career Development Center and each academic department’s individual resources, our students take part in wideranging internships throughout San Diego and California, in students’ hometowns and even while studying abroad.
