Welcome to the University of Gloucestershire Our open event is designed to inform and inspire you, allow you to investigate our range of computing courses and flexible modes of study available to you, as well as discover the benefits of further study. With an excellent reputation for teaching and research, our staff are passionate about their subject areas.

Meet your course leader and discuss the course on a 1-to-1 or small group basis. Room information will be provided on the day and our student ambassadors will show you the way.

“I am researching into how a gesture-based interface can enhance users’ hand dexterity. Moving forward, I have a view to design and develop a bespoke tool, which interfaces between a desktop and gesture-based technology using the Leap Motion.” Rachel Brooks, Computing research student

Get hands-on with the latest technologies in our dedicated cyber hub at Park campus, Cheltenham. You’ll develop new skills in our state-of-the-art computing suite, which includes research and cyber security labs, virtual reality equipment and innovative breakout spaces.

Research degrees
MSc Computing (Master’s Stage Award)
MSc by Research/MRes/PhD Creative Computing
Offered exclusively through distance learning, this course will enable you to develop the practical and analytical skills required to be directly employable in the computing industry. MSc Cyber Security Advance your skills in cyber security, a government priority area. This programme gives focus to the strategic deployment and implementation of cyber security strategies. MSc Cyber Forensics Investigation* Covering all aspects of digital forensics, you’ll develop enquiry and analytical skills and learn how to gather and present evidence as an expert witness in criminal and civil investigations.
Our specialisms include VR, AR and MR, IoTs, mobile technology, gamification, user experiences and user interface development. MSc by Research/MRes/PhD Engineering Technologies The School is building on its established and growing base in this domain, developing on its diverse work that encompasses general engineering, analytics and optimisation and bionics (learning from nature). A strong applied focus in these areas will draw on the university’s expanding facilities at C11 Berkeley. MSc by Research/MRes/PhD Technical and Applied Computing Our specialisms include applied computing, artificial intelligence, cyber security, big data and data mining, business intelligence e-business technology, application and management, IoTs, IT and IS, e-learning and digital forensics, and system modelling.
