I.

Prodwork, videos and IDs a. Prodwork for the board has already started. i. Boarders will be added as there is a difference in the shade of one set of Carolinas and another. ii. Org names will be placed on the board to define the space allotted for each org iii. Execomm pictures will be posted as soon as they become available 1 iv. The board, save for the pictures to be posted, will be finished before the week ends b. Videos i. Pegs will be posted by Carlo Magsino to show people his thoughts on how the video should be like ii. Will be finished before acquaintance party day iii. The shoot will be on Monday 10-2 c. ID pictures i. It was originally suggested that the council picture taking be taken tom during Carlo Magsino’s free time but was moved to Monday 10-2 so as to coincide with the video shoot. 1

Execomm photoshoot will be on Monday, the 4th of July

1. This photoshoot will coincide with the execomm photoshoot along with taking the shots for the council video ii. All council members will wear white for the photoshoot. iii. Not all council members will be ready for the photoshoot at 10 hence; the photos will be taken by batches. iv. Several conflicts were raised especially by Van Valdez due to varsity try-outs and practices. The schedule was eventually iron out as concessions were made by both sides.

Event Invitations a. Tomorrow ETC will hold “Pinoy Abroad� at 4pm in SE 114 b. Friday, EcoSoc will hold a movie screening of Transformers in Galeria c. Saturday, Glamorous party by JPES in Area 5, Morato d. Monday, Phil. American Friendship near Manila Hotel.

Senior Thesis Workshop a. The speakers have been finalized. Kenn Chua and Laurence Go, thesis awardees and Prof. Pernia will deliver the talk b. The date is set at July 6 and the venue is SE 125 c. The pubmat has been placed on the SESC board along with the suggestion envelop. However, it was brought up that the suggestion envelop leaves a lot to be desired aesthetically d. Tokens have yet to be finalized as the budget is still being cleared out. There is an unknown amount of cash yet to be claimed from the previous grad committee. e. A program flow was requested but was misinterpreted as a request for a stata program which the committee promised to provide nonetheless

IV.

Auxiliary core a. Most teams are starting to convene b. Aris and Kevin were already added to the FB group of their batch auxiliary corps c/o God i. The SESC FB account is still a member of the FB group. The need for supervision is almost coming to a close and the SESC FB account will be removed soon for purposes of privacy for the batch. c. There will be a general assembly for all the auxiliary core members on the 13th. This will be further discussed in the next bullet on the agenda (July events)

July 27 | No room assigned yet ii. Senior batch reps are in charge Updates a. Sophomore Batch Reps i. Shirt design contest is now ongoing b. Junior Batch Reps i. BRA convened and the minutes will be posted later ii. BRA merchandise is being finalized iii. BRA will help during the rummage sale 3 iv. BE primer page number is being reduced due to budget constraints c. AdHoc for environmental concerns i. The SE administration cannot afford to give space at the back parking for a compost bin at this time ii. AdHoc will focus on segregation instead as a solution to the waste management problem as a compost bin is no longer an option. 1. A PET bottle bin is a potential solution to collect recyclables. iii. The tree planting in La Mesa damn might have to be moved to another venue as the area was damaged by heavy floods. 1. The OVCSA can provide an area but the prices of the trees are high because it includes a maintenance fee for the trees 2. The date for the tree planting activity is on August 8

iv. Starchware is a viable alternative to paper plates. Paper plates take a long time to decompose hence they have to be taken out of the picture 1. Cost is possible hindrance to starchware as it costs PHP2 more per unit than paper plates 2. There are already additional costs to the consumer if he chooses to take out. Dine in is still the most environmentally friendly way of dining. d. Senior Batch Reps i. Gradball committee is now open to others. However, it is advised that the juniors sign-up for the graduation committee rather than the gradball because they will be more hands on in that committee. 1. The last graduation experienced some organizational difficulties as both the batch representatives were going to march. e. SAC i. The typhoon caused the practices and try-outs to be moved. The badminton, volleyball and futsal practices specifically were heavily affected. 1. The venues for the practices will be in Don Antonio, Teacher’s and Club 650. All three will be held on July 2, Sat. a. An issue was raised that some students have Saturday classes. b. It was brought up that there is a free venue in Fairview. However, it was discovered that the transportation cost more than offsets the benefits of it being free 2. It was brought up that most badminton varsity members are seniors hence the talent pool must be replenished. The batch reps will scout possible recruits. 3. The women’s basketball team will train on Monday and will be coached by Henryson Tan ii. Video of the story board. 1. Myk Narciso has created a story board 2. Van Valdez already has a template story in mind 3. Parts of the video will be shot on Saturday as the teams practice iii. Dance Crew 1. The dance crew will be assembled next week and will be headed by Simone Carpio. However, the head will change once the team is ready to stand on its own to encourage involvement of non-council members. iv. Scholympics 1. 1. Ann, talked to Regina Reinoso who said she will talk to Paolo Tamase regarding reviving Esound a. It was brought up that Pao is already swamped with a lot of work as the president of EcoSoc 2. Henry and Hannah can both help out in reviving Esound 3. The last major performance of Esound was acquaintance party three or so years back 4. GJ and Adrian from Gleecon last year can also lend a helping hand in reviving Esound f. Finance i. Batch reps will help each other sell 30 planners which have yet to be liquidated 1. Each batch is asked to sell 7 planners each ii. Most of the Finance auxiliary core are freshmen. Because of this, they have yet to be oriented on how to manage sales hence, they haven’t been fully utilized. 1. The auxiliary corps of finance will be briefed on the 13th of July. iii. SIDHI is already asking for the cash the council owes them from the registration period 1. The amount of cash to be remitted to SIDHI is estimated at 9.6k (450 students x 26) iv. Car briefly explains that the council will have to liquidate as once the account payables (both long and short term) have been resolved, only around 5k cash will be left with the council 1. Currently, there is 24k cash with the council v. Batch shirts have to be finalized soon 1. It was suggested that there be an underlying motif to the batch shirts. Hence, it was suggested that all batch shirts must have the “Econ bilib ako” logo 2. It was suggested that the batch shirts have one design but different colors vi. The alumni association might be willing to solicit and will be tapped soon vii. The council shirt is almost ready 1. Price is at 250 per and relative to other shirts, this is already cheap. 2. Carlo has made the design. It will only have two colors, white and green 3. It was suggested that there be two council shirts. For the first sem, it will be white. For the second sem, it will be green g. Secretariat i. The rooftop space can be used for storing the excess council stuff. However, due to the fact that it is exposed to the elements, the stuff will be covered in plastic ii. The lockers that have not been renewed will be opened by the end of the week iii. Room discounts for the acquaintance party and thesis workshop will be negotiated h. Marketing i. There will be a co-presenter sponsor for the council. 10k worth of cash and 5k worth of xdeals 1. The requested that the cover of their noodles be used as the tickets for the acquaintance party 6|P a ge


2. We will need 500 “tickets” as the event is a free event ii. Chello’s doughnuts has agreed to co-present the acquaintance party. The deal is for pure xdeals 1. The council will either liquidate the goods or use them for desert iii. The hotdog sponsor is still open for sponsorship 1. They want to sell hotdogs but this is not an option as per the SE policies 2. They want to sponsor by providing a discount on the hotdogs. They will provide a discount on the hotdogs. a. The unit price for each one is PHP3 3. Ann Huang mentioned that any food provided for acquaintance party will go a long way 4. If ever the council accepts the sponsorship, it will either use the hotdogs for acquaintance party or liquidate iv. There is a potential photobooth sponsor but they are not willing to completely sponsor the event. They will provide the photobooth for a discounted rate of 2k for the event i. Education and research i. Currently, EdRes is focusing its efforts on NYC ii. Irene requests for samplex and for her to be informed regarding the exam schedules of the exams j. Econ representative to the USC i. There will be a talk on the STFAP in SE ii. There is a STRAW meeting conflict with SESC GA iii. Kelvin’s committees in USC are: Freshie comm, STRAW, EdRes and finance iv. There will be a freshie concert on the 8th v. There will be a leadership seminar for the freshies on Monday, 9-12 in the Ambion room in law 1. SESC will send the freshie batch representatives 2. The two batch representatives will have “shifting” because the event conflicts with their PE class 3. Mike Tiu will be one of the speakers of the event vi. Heart Diño and Melvin Banzon were featured on TV because of the gender march. Additionally, the march found its way to the front page of the Phil. Star vii. There is a human soul exhibit in FC and will be moved to AS lobby next week. The exhibit is for gender awareness. viii. There will be an orientation for the orgs c/o the USC on the 5 th of July ix. There will be a PEP rally on the 1st of July x. SEAC and the batch reps are requested to gather data for suggestions for the “student code” 1. Because the term “student code” makes the students seem like transgressors, it will be renamed the “student’s handbook and guide” xi. STRAW will be reviewing the STFAP 7|P a ge


1. SEAC can be used as an avenue to collect opinions on the matter. ETC is dial but they mentioned that they feel that they are not in the best position to issue a statement as there are other with greater authority on the subject matter 2. Historically, the STFAP was proposed by SE and Engg. De Dios in particular had a hand in developing the system k. VC i. There will be a SEAC meeting tom. They will discuss the calendar for July and the photoshoot on Monday l. Chair i. The office of the student regent wants to have a tie-up for the STFAP talk ii. The RH AGENDA will push through this Friday. a. It is rumored that a professor in BA is discouraging several members of the RH AGENDA regarding their stand b. ETC has released a statement on the regarding the RH AGENDA VII.

Acquaintance party a. An initial brig was already sent as a teaser for the acquaintance party i. The publicity will be story based in that there will be a story line for the pubmats ii. There will be “personalities” that will be personified in the publicity b. The theme will be “First Friday Night” i. The acquaintance party is not just to be centered on the freshies 1. It is to foster general camaraderie in SE c. Program flow i. Opening number by the dance crew c/o Van ii. Host spiel iii. Opening remarks by the Dean c/o Ben iv. Ice breaker game v. E-sound launce vi. Dinner vii. Binggo c/o Cocoy viii. Econ bilib ako launch and council introduction c/o Kehrl ix. Scholympics launch c/o Van x. SEAC website relaunch c/o Henry xi. Andre’s lady gaga dance c/o Andre 1. The council opened the program flow to scrutiny a. Dinner should be earlier b. There will be a raffle in the end c. d. Game ideas i. 2 games that will be played over dinner ii. The ideas will be posted on FB e. Publicity i. Erin and Kat are in charge of the pubmats ii. Ann needs a video person. Arsenio can provide a video slide show if worse comes to worse f. Hosts i. Several people were suggested. These included Miko Gloria, and others g. Logistics i. Food will be served outside ii. Chairs will be moved to the sides as was done last year iii. Lights and sounds are needed. Ben will contact Carl Asiddao. 1. Total budget is 2.5k for this iv. Venue will be reserved and haggled for regarding discounts h. Food i. Pizza, pasta and drinks ii. The initial budget per head is at PHP80 iii. Aris knows a caterer and will contact him iv. The budget is not capable of huge costs v. Total number of expected attendees is around 200 1. Last year was at 150 but more people are expected this year because an incentive from scholympics was given i. Budget i. Will be given to Car
