ince its founding in 1990, East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry (EFBHNM) has been serving the basic human needs of families in our community in temporary financial crisis. Development Director Stacey Williams says, “We are not your typical food pantry. In addition to the generous donations of individuals, churches and other groups, East Fort Bend receives regular orders of meat, eggs and fresh produce from area grocery stores. Families can receive up to four full food orders in a year, or one supplemental order a week. These orders are tailored to the size and special needs of the household, and they include laundry detergent and toiletry items. Kids snacks are included to families with children, and we provide a ‘Birthday Bag’ when there’s a birthday— complete with an age appropriate toy and cake! We distribute holiday food baskets during Christmas and Thanksgiving, and we also participate in Houston Food Bank’s Backpack Buddy Program.” Recognizing that basic human needs include more than food, the Financial Assistance Program at EFBHNM provides help with mortgage or rent, utilities, and approved prescription expenses. East Fort Bend’s resale shop, Tri-City Churches Resale Shop, has been voted “Best Bargain Shopping Store in Fort Bend” by Fort Bend Focus readers multiple times. One hundred percent of the resale shop proceeds go directly to support the EFBHNM programs. The newest support initiative is the annual Outrun Hunger 5K fun run hosted in Johnson Development’s Harvest Green. In 2019, Outrun Hunger raised more than $20,000. Over the past 30 years, East Fort Bend has distributed nearly $13 million dollars worth of food and $3 million in financial assistance right here in

riginally from Venezuela, Daisy Levinson Krolczyk has called Sugar Land her home for the past 15 years. She has traveled the world and finds Sugar Land the perfect place to live, she calls it her Wonderland. “I find it so beautiful and clean. I love the way it continues to grow and develop, there is something new here every month. I feel like we could visit something new every day and never see it all.” Daisy started seeing Dr. Ulises Baltazar for the treatment of her varicose veins after she moved to Sugar Land. Dealing with varicose veins and spider veins most of her adult life, Daisy was thrilled to find a doctor who was not only an expert in his field, he was patient and kind as well. She says, “Varicose veins are my inheritance, they run in both sides of my family. The doctors I visited in the past made me feel rushed and the procedures were uncomfortable. Dr. Baltazar has never rushed me. He always takes the time to hear what is going on in my life, as well as what is going on with my legs. Dr. Baltazar asks about my husband, Joe. If he knows Joe is in the waiting room, Dr. Baltazar says, ‘Bring him in.’ He never hurries through my appointments.” Dr. Ulises Baltazar is a highly regarded vein specialist. He has extensive experience working with conditions resulting from issues of the circulatory system and is a leader in his field. Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in Vascular Surgery, Dr. Baltazar is a member of Houston Methodist Cardiovascular Surgery Associates’ Sugar Land Vein Clinic—a practice dedicated exclusively to the treatment of venous insufficiency. Daisy likes that Dr. Baltazar explains her procedures ahead of time. She says, “He always gives me the pros and cons and lets me decide for myself. During one office visit, he talked to me through the entire procedure. I was so involved with the conversation that I barely felt any discomfort. Even his staff is always helpful and pleasant. Dr. Baltazar really knows what he’s doing. I’ve recommended him a lot. From my first appointment with Dr. Baltazar I felt relaxed and welcomed immediately, it’s like visiting an old friend. He takes a real interest in me and my family. He will be my doctor for the rest of my life.”

But maybe you didn’t realize this: Classic Chevy Hwy 6 is owned by Jeff and Tiffany Sebastian, the same local family that owns Classic Chevy Sugar Land. “With the addition of Classic Chevy Hwy 6, we are thrilled to bring even more great inventory and superior service to our neighbors in Fort Bend and West Houston,” says Tiffany. “One of the things we recognize is that sometimes you need us on Sunday. That’s why Classic Chevy Hwy 6 is open on Sundays and closed on Saturdays. Classic Chevy Sugar Land will continue to be open Saturdays and closed Sundays. This way, in both sales and service, we are here for
you seven days a week!” And regarding service? We have great news! The technicians at Classic Chevy Hwy 6 are certified with years of experience. Jeff says, “We know great work when we see it. Most of these technicians have a 20+ year history. Many of you know and trust these individuals...with good reason. That’s lots of years experience working on your prized possessions. Inviting these individuals to join the Classic Chevy team was really a no brainer.”

hen The Dean Law Firm grew to the point of bursting at the seams in their current office, owner and founder Julia Dean began to explore her options. “I looked at other lease spaces, but when you lease, you still have to personally guarantee the space without equity. That’s how we discovered The Offices of Greatwood by The Millis Group.” What The Offices of Greatwood offer is an opportunity to not only own and enjoy the tax benefits, but also design and build out your office exactly as you wish. Our new office will be three stories with an elevator, and we were able to customize all three floors. TOM ARNOLD?
oland, India, South Africa, Australia, Italy, Jordan, Russia, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Mexico...Dr. Arnold has been traveling the world speaking about scleral contact lenses! So what are scleral lenses? They are lenses that vault over the cornea and rest on the sclera (the white part) of the eye. “They are actually not new!” says Dr. Arnold. “Glass sclerals were made in Germany in the 1880s. People could wear them three to four hours, and they had holes in them to allow oxygen to the eye. By the 1950s, plastic sclerals were available. But the plastic lenses also didn’t breath. Women going on a big date would visit the eye doctor first and have the lenses inserted,
then go back after to have them removed. With the advent of modern hard and soft lenses that rest on the cornea, sclerals fell to the wayside.” Vast improvements were made to hard contacts in the early 80s with the development of a gas permeable plastic that allows oxygen to pass through to the eye. Since some people—due to the shape of their cornea or trauma—just can’t wear modern lenses, Dr. Donald Ezekiel in Perth, Australia started making sclerals the old-fashioned way, but with the new gas permeable material. While Dr. Ezekiel was bringing back sclerals, Dr. Arnold was here in Sugar Land fitting modern lenses. “I sent two patients to a corneal surgeon,” says Dr. Arnold. “They needed corneal transplants. The surgeon sent them back and said to fit them in sclerals. Unable to find anyone that fit sclerals, I attended a weekend course. I fit my patients and saw how wonderful they were, and how much my patients liked them. There was a demand. I started to focus on sclerals, including taking referrals from other eye doctors.” Dr. Arnold set up a private Facebook page where eye
professionals could share scleral cases and information. He published articles on sclerals that included his own macro photography of the eye. Today, that Facebook group has more than 5000 members and Dr. Arnold is regarded as a global expert on scleral lenses. “Scleral lenses change people’s lives. People who couldn’t go to work now can, others that couldn’t drive, drive...and constant pain is gone for many.” Patients with keratoconus, Fuch’s dystrophy, dry eye disease, graft vs. host disease, post-RK or post-LASIK, and Stevens-Johnson syndrome are considered possible candidates for sclerals. “I’ve been in practice for 36 years,” says Dr. Arnold. “This opportunity to participate in evolving technology has really energized me. It’s interesting, creative, and I am contributing to the knowledge base. It’s allowed our clinic to become a specialty clinic where we have the privilege of evaluating and testing new products. But I also need to be with my patients and staff. That’s what my 2020 looks like. I will be here and seeing patients!” Memorial Eye Center at Sugar Land 281-242-2020 15337 Southwest Freeway Sugar Land, TX 77478 www.memorialeyecenter.com

The Gift of Legacy is The Gift of Love

Unfortunately, pretending the end will never come has no bearing on what the future will actually bring. “That’s why I encourage everyone—no matter your age—to do what you can now,” says Margie. “And you CAN control the legacy you leave when the time comes. That’s my area of expertise: Making sure your wishes are legally carried out exactly as you want them to be. But I also realize it’s very personal. That’s why in addition to the legal documents that comprise your estate plan, I believe that one’s legacy should ideally include a personal ‘love letter.’ It’s your own words, and it’s one final opportunity to tell your loved ones how much you love them; how you want the plan you’ve created to provide stability and support when you are gone or incapacitated. It’s a true gift of love.” If you’re one of the more than 50% of Americans without an estate plan, take this very first “season of love” of the new decade and make the change! Contact Margie Connolly today to learn more about the gift of legacy.
uring this season of love, we take special care to appreciate our loved ones. Oftentimes we even give gifts to show our love, making our spouse or significant other, children and parents feel they are special to us. But did you know that one of the greatest gifts you can give is letting your loved ones know the legacy you wish to leave for them? Fort Bend attorney Margie Connolly says, “A legacy honors the love and appreciation we have for those closest to us. In fact, the fundamental purpose of estate planning is to leave a legacy for the living! Kiss the Mess Goodbye!
D
oes your significant other love to whip up gourmet meals or take a picnic to the ball game? Have you planned a romantic evening with roses and candles or a night out at a comedy club? However you and your special someone spend your free time, it’s a sure bet that you both love a clean house...but no one loves doing the cleaning! “When you give someone—or yourself—the gift of regular cleanings, what you’re really giving them is time to spend doing the things they love!” says Imelda Mahoney, our local cleaning expert and owner of Mahoney’s House Cleaning. “We value your home, your time, and your peace of mind...that’s why our employees are bonded and insured, arrive in a company car with uniforms, and deliver a clean that really sparkles!” Instead of arguing over whose turn it is to mop the floor or take out the trash, you could be enjoying time with your loved ones. Leave the cleaning to the professionals and kiss the mess goodbye.
Imelda’s Insight
After the pillow fight is over, you don’t have to toss those pillows in the trash... even if they’re filled with feathers or down. As long as the covers don’t have any slits or tears, you can put them right in the washing machine. To keep your machine from rocking and rolling, load two pillows at a time (one on each side) and use only a small amount of detergent. Imelda says, “I recommend you use the delicate cycle and give the pillows a second rinse at the end. Then put them in the drier with several clean tennis shoes. It sounds crazy, but the shoes help fluff the pillows and keep the down and feathers from clumping up. They’ll still take longer than a normal load of clothes, but there’s no reason to replace them when cleaning them is so easy!”

A Dentist’s Secret to Saving Your Marriage by Sarah Warburton

hen local psychologist Dr. Gary Petty first met Dr. Thomas Lomonte, he had no idea his new neighbor would be a miracle-worker for his marriage! Dr. Petty says, “Dr. Lomonte and I live right next to each other on the weekends out on Tiki Island, Galveston. He’s a really good neighbor and fishing buddy, a truly nice guy, and a great dentist! Although I live and work in Houston, I drove out to Stafford to see Dr. Lomonte for my Snore Guard®.” If you’ve tried to stifle snoring with sleeping pills, earplugs and nose strips, you’ve been tackling the surface problem...the noise. But snoring’s more than a noise problem...it’s a health problem, too! Snoring impacts the quality of your sleep, which can lead to headaches, concentration problems, hypertension, depression, and cardiac disease. And it doesn’t take a highly-trained psychologist like Dr. Petty to know that fatigue makes couples irritable, impatient, distracted, and pessimistic. Putting an end to snoring improves your relationship! Come in your Ifhealth...and you’ve been sleeping on the couch or in the study as a patient because your snoring got you banned from the bedroom... take heart. Dr. Lomonte says, “The FDA-approved preand leave SNORE scription Snore Guard® features Air Flow Technology™ to as a friend! The intra-oral device, Snore Guard®, has been proven up to 99% effective in the treatment of snoring and it’s FDA cleared

Dr. Lomonte fit me with a custom Snore Guard® and it stopped my snoring immediately! The first night I wore it, the snoring stopped. I’ve also always been someone who grinds his teeth at night. I tried several different night-guards from other dentists. I’d chomp on them all night long, but they didn’t stop my snoring. The Snore Guard® stopped my snoring and I’m not grinding my teeth either! I’m really happy with the results...and my wife says it’s a miracle. I’ve never seen her so happy!” “I completely recommend both Dr. Lomonte and the Snore Guard®...and so does my wife!”

We are “PLUMB”
Crazy About You! by Amy Sharp

ou’ve no doubt heard by now that Top Counseling Schools (TCS) named Sugar Land one of the “Happiest Small Towns in America” for 2019. While TCS credits a low crime rate, versatile restaurant scene, and lots of activities, we all know the root of happiness is the company you keep. Whether you’ve lived here all your life or just moved to the area, we are confident the kind and caring people of Fort Bend are a large part of the reason you are here and the reason you stay. And it’s why if you haven’t yet met the Burkhalter family, we’d like to give you a little introduction! For more than 20 years, the Burkhalter family has been answering plumbing questions and fixing plumbing problems for the people of Fort Bend. The company was started by Master Plumber Alan Burkhalter. As a small business owner and the father of three boys (all graduates of Elkins High School!),
Alan doesn’t just understand the values that are important to you. He lives them. Alan says, “When we come out to your home, we never forget that you’re also a neighbor. For this reason, we remain committed to providing expert, licensed service at a fair price.” In two decades, this family-owned business has grown to include two generations of brothers working together. Alan’s brother Chris and his son Luke are also Master Plumbers. Alan’s son Beau is journeymanlicensed and studying for his master plumber license, and his son Jake (recently engaged to Becca Long!) is an apprentice close to his journeyman license. Alan’s wife Jennifer, Luke’s wife Chelsea, and Katie Johnson answer the phones at Alan’s Plumbing. The addition of journeyman-licensed plumber Jeff Johnson and apprentices Jaime, Trevor and Christian make this the best plumbing company in Fort Bend.
“We are where we are today because of the relationships built by my dad,” says Luke. “We used to ride these trucks as kids. We learned firsthand from Dad the importance of being polite, professional and prompt while providing excellent service. Today, my brothers and I are all licensed and experienced members of Dad’s team. We take great pride in driving that ‘Alan’s Plumbing’ truck...because we know when our neighbors see that truck, they see a company they can trust. Fort Bend is the heart of our business and we are thankful to you!”

Bring Back Those Loving Feelings by Becca Bragg

emember when you and that special someone just couldn’t get enough of each other? Now it’s “Sorry, honey, not tonight. And tomorrow isn’t looking any better.” Decreased libido isn’t just a fact of getting older. Dr. Lance Campbell, Pharm. D., R.Ph. says, “I like to tell my patients that sexy is more than a state of mind...it’s also a matter of balanced hormones. Aging results in a drop in estrogen and progesterone in women and in testosterone in men. Keeping your hormones in balance can put that spark back in your relationship and turn every day into Valentine’s Day.” Putting the spark back in your relationship may take more than a dozen roses or a special date night. When it comes to decreased libido, aging is an equal
opportunity offender. Dr. Campbell explains, “In both men and women, hormones are the force behind your sex drive. It’s a common misconception that only women suffer from a drop in hormones as they go through menopause. Actually, aging results in a drop in progesterone and estrogen in women, as well as testosterone in men. Keeping your hormones in balance is the key to getting your mojo back...whether you’re going through menopause or ‘manopause.’” What’s the secret to feeling sexy at any age? Keeping your hormones in balance. Insufficient levels of progesterone in women can dry up your desire completely. Declining estrogen can lead to vaginal dryness and discomfort. For men, decreased testosterone can put their inner fire out. the United States, live stem cells must be pulled from the bone marrow or fat of the person using them in a same day procedure. Q: Who can perform stem cell injections? A: By law in Texas, stem cell injections can only be administered by a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Q&A
by Amy Sharp
Q: What is the goal of regenerative medicine? A: To prevent unnecessary surgery and get back to daily living without pain. Q: What issues can be treated? A: Any orthopedic condition from head to toe! Mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow are used to treat severe issues like bone on bone arthritis, large tears in the ligaments and tendons, or meniscus tears. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is used to treat mild to moderate issues (PRP requires only a blood draw). Prolotherapy, an irritant solution requiring no blood draw, is used to treat low level issues. Knee pain, spinal issues like sciatica and degenerative disk disease, joint issues, and even headaches can be improved with regenerative medicine. Q: My doctor has offered amniotic, umbilical or placental products. Aren’t these stem cells? A: No, they are not. Studies have shown that these products contain no live stem cells. In
Q: How do I know if I am a candidate? A: A one hour initial evaluation that includes a physical exam and diagnostics like ultrasound to determine your issues is first completed. Then based on findings and your health history, you are given a candidacy rating for expected outcome. No one is too old for regenerative medicine!

his past September, Gabby Romero was at her home with her mother when her AC started acting up. “I knew something was wrong,” says Gabby. “It was turning on and off on its own, and lights were flickering on the thermostat. It was also still very, very hot outside, and I felt the AC wasn’t cooling. I remembered my co-worker Gina Jackson’s
husband Brian was in the A/C business, so on Monday I called Jackson Air and Heat. I was surprised at the response time. I spoke with the owner Brian, who was out of town at the time. I described what was happening, and Brian scheduled a tech to come to my house the next day.”
Gabby describes her experience with the tech as the best service she’s ever had. “The tech was courteous and knowledgeable about what he does. He explained the problem so I could understand, and I decided to replace the system. I was quoted a price, we set an appointment to do the replacement, and went from there.” Locally-owned and operated for nearly 40 years, Jackson Air and Heat is the oldest independent Trane dealer in Sugar Land. Trane is at the top of a crowded field of climate control units, outranking all competitors by being named “America’s Most Trusted HVAC Brand” five years in a row according to Lifestory Research. Trane highly recommends installation of their products by a Trane Comfort Specialist like Jackson Air and Heat. Brian says, “These systems are the best out there for our brutal Texas heat. The Trane TruComfort® Technology XV20i blows cold, and yet is so energy efficient, you’ll save tons of money on your energy bills. It’s what I have in my own home. If you need a new system, right now is a great time with instant rebates or 0% financing available from Trane.”
“From the owners to the installers, I was amazed at how quickly and smoothly Jackson Air installed my new system,” continues Gabby. “They came out when they said they would be here. They provided an estimate of how long the installation would take, and it was pretty accurate.
The price I was quoted is the price I paid; there were no hidden fees. The price I was quoted is the price I paid; there were no hidden fees. Johnson, a retired Houston Police Lieutenant. Joslyn says, “The ‘Ultimate Face Lift” reduces fine lines, wrinkles, puffy eyes, dark circles, and stimulates collagen and elastin production. It’s perfect for the face and chin.” Sandy scheduled her appointment and visited the salon. “Everyone was so friendly and not pushy at all,” says Sandy. “They described the ‘Ultimate Face Lift’ procedure to me, and I bought a package of ‘Ultimate Face Lifts.’ I then did a treatment on that very first day. It took just under an hour, and it’s like visiting a friend...just a warm and wonderful environment. What I did not expect was how soft my skin would feel after just one treatment. I’ve now finished eight treatments, and you can definitely see that some lines have decreased. The space above my lip and jowls I just didn’t like, and the lines in those areas have softened over the weeks. People comment that there is something different about me, they can tell something has changed.” Joslyn says, “Dramatic results like Sandy has experienced are

A New Year Means New Health ReSolutions

020 isn’t just a new year, it’s the start of a new decade. Out with the old, in with the new! But what if you are the one feeling in need of an overhaul? Sometimes as we get older, diminishing hormones start scrambling our neurocircuitry, leading to the dreaded “brain fog” and making us less mentally sharp than we used to be. Women can suffer from urinary incontinence, creeping weight gain, or a loss of interest in sex. Once we eagerly sought out our reflections in mirrors; now the slackening jawline and new wrinkles make us want to avoid them. “As a medical doctor and practitioner of functional medicine, I like to take a ‘whole woman’ approach to my patients,” explains Dr. Julia Ward, M.D., of Balanced Body Functional Medicine. “What that means is doing a deep dive on underlying causes, not just treating symptoms. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing the quantifiable results in my patients and hearing them report how mentally, physically and psychologically great they feel.” “Take brain health, for instance,” continues Dr. Ward. “We have a new test to determine your brain’s functioning and structure. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to how well your brain cells communicate with each other. Once we know what kind of deficiencies we’re dealing with, we can make dietary and lifestyle changes that will have you firing on all synapses once again.” Sometimes renewal of the self means addressing the embarrassing leakage that happens when you cough, sneeze or laugh. “The O-shot is a non-surgical treatment that will give you your life back,” says Dr. Ward. “Some patients also choose radiofrequency to stimulate collagen growth in the vagina and around the urethra. One of the side effects is stronger orgasms and increased sex drive. No one complains about that!” For radiance, lifting and tightening cosmetic effects, Dr. Ward recommends a Vampire Face Lift or Breast Lift where your own blood plasma, combined with dermal filler, is injected into your face and cleavage for the most natural lift and volume possible. “My patients love these new solutions,” says Dr. Ward. “And I love my patients. Give us a call and together we can make 2020 your best decade yet!”

HighLearn School Sweethearts to
Dance
More Than
Four Decades by Amy Sharp

teve and Pat Pondell were high school sweethearts. At their prom, and their wedding, the happy couple did the “sway in place” when it was time to dance. The same thing happened at two of their children’s weddings. Last spring, their youngest son was in the wedding planning process. The Pondells decided for this wedding, it was time to learn how to really dance. A search online for dance lesson availability and ratings led the couple to Arthur Murray Sugar Land, locally owned by April and Chris Muller. Last January, they started lessons with a clear goal: to dance at their son’s wedding in April. Steve says, “We learned the foxtrot first, then the rumba, swing, waltz, and country twostep. The program is set up to where we take a private lesson each week, and then all weekly group classes and dance parties are complementary. We can come as often as we like to practice. The wedding was in New Hampshire and we needed a piece of Texas, so we danced country western to God Bless Texas. It was fun!”
Fast forward to nine months after the wedding and Steve and Pat are still taking lessons. “We honestly expected to be done after the wedding,” explains Pat. “But we have new friends here! Chris and April are positive, outgoing and high energy. They’ve built a really fun group. And these are fun little date nights. When you’ve been married as long as we have, you’ve established different activities. Dancing is a great couples activity because you each learn your own half and use teamwork to make it
work. It’s been good for us. We definitely recommend Arthur Murray Sugar Land, and we are excited that for Christmas our kids gave us gift certificates to keep dancing!” As Steve and Pat have discovered, it’s never too late to learn to dance. “What stands out most to me about that visit,” continues Manish, “is that they were more interested in seeing my daughter than the paperwork. It wasn’t about the money, it was about the care given to the child. We walked in and a nurse met us at the door. We were taken back immediately. They didn’t
start taking our info until they were checking her vitals. She saw the doctor, they made recommendations, gave us prescriptions, and we were good to go. The entire visit was maybe 40 minutes.” St. Michael’s Elite Hospital is locally owned by Dr. Shannon Orsak and his brother Brian Orsak. Manish says, “We highly recommend St. Michael’s. They do a fantastic job and are deserving, community leaders. They’re always out there, and we need them. Just last year, my family received much-needed sunblock from St. Michael’s at a community 4th of July celebration. HEALTH MATTERS WITH DR. STEVE HARRIS, DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC WHERE PAIN RELIEF COMES NATURALLY
DON’T GIVE UP HOPE
W
by Sara Adams
ith all of the planning that goes into weddings, motherof-the-groom Ann Byers had one more item to add to her to-do list: She wanted to be able to walk down the aisle with her son Jared. Ann also wanted to be able to comfortably travel to Alabama with her husband Tim and be able to be a part of the festivities. She says, “I wanted to walk on my own and not have an obvious limp.” Ann had an accident and broke three bones in her right ankle and chipped one bone in her left ankle in October 2017. Since that time, she has had three surgeries. Her recovery has been a slow, painful, drawn-out process. When she told her doctor about the swelling and pain she was continuing to experience, he told her that her ankle was never going to get any better. “I’m a fighter,” says Ann. “There was no way I was going to sit back and not do something.” So Ann turned to her chiropractor, Dr. Steve Harris of Sugar Land Health Center. Dr. Harris told Ann, “I don’t believe your prognosis. We’re going to see if we can change that.” Sugar Land Health Center offers chiropractic treatment for people of all ages. Dr. Steve Harris opened Sugar Land Health Center in 1982. In August of last year, he welcomed his son-in-law Dr. Zack Brazzell to his practice. They offer a wide variety of chiropractic care modalities and associated therapies to help people with chronic pain or to help improve their overall musculoskeletal function and health by incorporating new technology and techniques that complement their safe and holistic approach. This natural, noninvasive, gentle method promotes relief from pain. Through his 40 plus years as a chiropractor, Dr. Harris has developed his own methods and treatments for every layer of the body to promote healing. Working with both Dr. Harris and Dr. Brazzell, Ann is happy to report that she not only made that walk down the aisle...she was able to help at the Dr. Steve Harris and the newest member of SLHC, Dr. Zack Brazzell.

reception as well. Ann has been a patient of Sugar Land Health Center for several years. She has seen the changes and new technology firsthand. She says part of her treatment included a new service called Pressure Wave, which she credits for really helping decrease the swelling in her ankle. Ann says, “I appreciate that Drs. Harris and Brazzell really listened to me and worked with me to create a plan that could minimize my pain, get rid of the swelling, and help me be comfortable during the wedding. For anyone out there who has had broken bones and is still experiencing swelling, don’t give up hope. Go to Sugar Land Health Center. I highly recommend them.”
