n Texas everything is bigger and the story of how a beautiful young intern in Internal Medicine from Mexico City ended up with a guy from Kentucky after a chance meeting in Methodist Cafeteria could not have been a bigger coincidence... and so here our beautiful story began. Fast forward over 15 years and today that couple are active in the Sugar Land community, raising two amazing sons, and working to establish the “go-to place” for every cosmetic need by building a amazing center in the heart of Sugar Land called Sugar Land Face & Body Plastic Surgery. Fix Sinking Concrete without Sinking Your Budget by Amy Sharp

“M

ost people don’t have a concrete problem, they have a dirt problem,” says Rich Faust, owner of Southern Concrete Raising. “Water intrusion and inadequate backfill causes soil erosion, wash-out, and voiding. Your concrete tells you this by tilting and sinking, causing dangerous trip hazards and unsightly standing water. And then it cracks...until finally it breaks.” Southern Concrete Raising offers a faster, less intrusive, more versatile, cleaner and much less expensive alternative to replacing your sinking patio, driveway, sidewalk, or pool deck or to installing costly piers under your home’s foundation. “Education,” says Rich, “is always the first step in our process. Then we give the job a final check, fill the holes, clean the worksite and leave you with a leveled, stabilized area in mere hours at about

The concrete is replaced without ever identifying or fixing the underlying issue. So will the problem occur again? “It’s A Game Changer!”

hat’s what Sugar Land residents, Tim and Anne Lootens say! “Our new outdoor living area has changed where we spend our time. We can cook full meals outdoors, watch sports on our 60 inch TV, swim, and just enjoy family and friends! It’s also a place for our three daughters to hang out and socialize. We love that they can have a great time right in our backyard!” Tim and Anne’s home already had a pool but it was falling apart. Tim says, “We were in the market for bids to create our dream outdoor living space. Our kids go to St. Laurence and I was serving as treasurer for the Booster Club when an email came through from Kryshon Bratton inquiring about a Bratton Pools sponsorship sign for the St. Laurence gym.
