ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS For undergraduate study at UPEI, you need: • 12 years of elementary and secondary education • A senior secondary certificate, higher school certificate, or matriculation as defined by your home country • Demonstrated proficiency in the English language—both written and conversational You can apply to UPEI from Grade 11 or 12 with your transcripts and receive an “early offer” that allows you to prepare for visa applications.

Applicants without English proficiency test scores, or with scores below the minimum, may be admitted conditionally into the English Language Preparation (EAP) program. EAP is designed to enable students to gain academic skills and confidence in English, and successfully transition to university!

You’ll receive an email message from our enrolment team to confirm receipt of your application and application fee.

Submit your transcripts and supporting documentation
Upload all required supplemental items (unofficial high school transcripts or post-secondary transcripts, and English proficiency scores such as IELTS or TOEFL). Transcripts can also be emailed to inte@upei.ca by a high school or university academic record officer. Note: University and college students may receive transfer credits after academic transcripts and course outlines have been submitted. Students from IB/AP or a similar advanced high school curriculum may also be granted transfer credits upon submission of their official academic records.
UPEI may require your official high school or post-secondary transcripts.
