Please join us in September to talk about poultry welfare at the eighth annual “Animal Welfare in Practice” conference with keynote speaker Dr. Ian Duncan, Professor Emeritus and Emeritus Chair of Animal Welfare, University of Guelph. All are welcome to the talk on Friday night—“Commercial poultry production: Is there a welfare problem?”—which is free of charge. Topics on Saturday will include welfare of laying hens in furnished cage systems, welfare issues in broilers, challenges of alternative housing, and more. This conference will be of interest to producers, veterinarians, animal scientists, and veterinary and animal science students.
