Speakers Profile Robert Gan, PMP®, CID-PM (Distinction), AICA, NCC Systems Analysis & Design President, PMI Malaysia Chapter Robert has been trained in Accountancy, System Analysis & Design, Project Management and Business management. Over the last 20 years he has helped and coached business owners and their team in addressing business issues, procedure realignment, provision of alternatives, proposing work-around solutions and business process improvements. Robert has served as a Consulting manager in KPMG Consulting (APAC) and as Principal consultant in PwC Consulting (East Asia) managing projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia. The projects he has managed are of various complexities and include systems for companies involved in mega projects and projects of multi-national scope. The training and career development gained over the years has enabled Robert to gain the honour of Distinction in the Cambridge International Diploma in Project management. Robert is also an ACTION International trained business coach. He currently lectures at various universities and at The University of Nottingham MCcal Framework Analysis, Change Management, Negotiation skills, Team development and motivation.
Ben De Haldevang General Manager, Asia Pacific PCUBED, Singapore Ben runs the Asian practice for PCUBED, having joined from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was head of Post Deal Services for Singapore. He has spent the last 14 years working with clients going through a transformation, either deal related or internal. In that time, he was been engaged in over 60 projects in a variety of sectors and locations. The last 4 years he’s been based in Asia. Ben joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in January 2005. Previously, he co-founded Integrum Limited in 2000, a specialist post-merger integration specialist, operating in financial services, with a focus on providing robust, strategic objective orientated program management coupled with an explicit focus on culture, communications and human capital management. The business was sold to PwC in February 2005. Ben spent the 10 years before this in executive search, running practices in the corporate finance, equity research and asset management sectors, working in Europe, USA and Australia. He trained as a convertible bond specialist, latterly with NatWest Markets. He writes frequently on integration issues in business, most recently, “A new direction in M&A integration” for the Journal of Global Business and Operational Excellence.

He achieves significant uplift in capability, by identifying and sustainably. He has had 25+ years of experience, extending across performance excellence, finance, information management, project management and shared services. His industry experience spans banking, life insurance, general insurance, superannuation, funds management, custody management, health services, debt collection, legal services, recruitment, investment advisory services and tax administration services. Mike Benson, PMP Program/Release Manager Enbridge Pipelines, Canada Mike is the Principal of Blackstone Project Management Ltd. He is a Senior Project and Program Manager and is recognized as an innovative, results-oriented leader with a career history of visible achievements delivering large scale technological solutions in both the IT and EPC fields. Mike has 20+ years of project management experience, and has led projects from initial concept to post-implementation and sustainment. He uses formal project management techniques and engages clients and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to meet requirements, and has strong vendor management skills.
Frederic L. Casagrande, PMP PMO Expert, Head of PMO Emiraje Systems, Dubai Frederic holds a Masters Degree in Management & e-business and is PMP® certified (Project Management Professional). He is serving as a PMI® volunteer as the Vice President for Technology & Communications of the Program Management Office Community of Practice (the largest PMO focused global community worldwide), and is recognized as a subject matter expert and frequently asked to speak at conferences. Founder of one of the first web agencies in France in 1997, he joined a major European telecommunications provider in Switzerland in 2000 to manage all aspects of software development and user experience for their next generation IP services.
Hameed Mohammed Rafeek, PMP Head of PMO, HOT Engineering & Construction Co Kuwait Hameed Mohamed, PMP is a graduate Engineer, currently working as General Manager in AL HAMAAD SONS CONTRACTING CO, Kuwait. He has 19 years of both construction & project management experience covering Oil & Gas and Infrastructure projects in the Middle East. He worked as a Head of PMO in HOT Engineering & Construction Co., a leading contracting company at Kuwait and actively involved in the implementation of Project Control Process. He has good experience as an instructor at Kuwait Society of Engineers in project management and performed as speaker in both 13th & 14th International Conference held in Bahrain by PMI Arabian Gulf Chapter, a fabulous event. He has delivered several technical presentations on effective project management. In the past, he worked in Oman & Saudi Arabia and actively involved in several Aramco, SABIC & PDO projects.
