Market wrap The 2021 property market saw the sharpest capital growth in a 9-month period, averaging over 50% on the Northern Beaches. Low stock and the demand for lifestyle increased prices last year and predictions were uncertain on whether this would maintain in 2022. The first quarter of 2022 saw an 80% increase in stock compared to the previous year which caused the market to stabilise. Properties that continued to see record results were top end homes and apartments along with property campaigns that had the right strategy in place. With strong enquiry numbers and new buyers entering the market weekly, those who choose to sell now instead of holding off until Spring or Summer have the potential to reap excellent results. Overseas migrants and residents returning home will continue to flow steadily influencing both the sale and rental market throughout the year. The Northern Beaches is an attractive market for both homeowners and investors as it offers all the conveniences with the attractive beachside lifestyle.
