Market wrap The Sydney property market continues to fire at all cylinders. Low interest rates, together with a short supply of properties on the market and high buyer demand have all come together to produce the phenomenal sales prices we’re seeing today across the Northern Beaches and in particular Warriewood. We’ve witnessed these strong results over the last couple of months and Covid lockdown restrictions do not seem to be slowing the market down. Throughout this lockdown period, we have still been able to facilitate the sale and lease of property in a Covid Safe way and we are still seeing multiple parties competing for properties in online auction environments and reserve prices being blown. Throughout July we sold 67 properties and leased 55 properties across the Northern Beaches, I expect the momentum in the market to continue throughout this lockdown period as buyers have to compete for the limited amount of homes that are coming to market. Once the current lockdown restrictions are lifted, we expect the market to bounce back to the high levels of activity seen through the first half of this year. If you are thinking of making a move but are worried to sell first with nothing to buy, I expect supply levels to increase after lockdown so it may be worthwhile to start getting yourself in a position to act once your perfect home hits the market.
