Welcome to our first ever edition of ‘US’a collaboration of inspiring people and businesses that have come together to help you ‘Find Yourself In A Better Place’.

I’d firstly like to Thank You all for your continued support of Lachlan Yeates, Vincent West and myself over the last 20+ years since we developed this amazing business to what it is today - it wouldn’t be where it is to date without our community.

Since we started, we have seen the industry evolve and discovered areas of opportunity to simply do things better. With the digital revolution and a shift in customer experience expectations, I knew one thing. The traditional real estate model was not future-proof.

The decision was cemented in 2019 when we designed Upstate’s purpose built 1000sqm headquarters. At that point, we decided it was time to make the shift to an independent agency and use our size to our advantage; large enough to deliver an enterprise level experience and small enough to pivot, adapt, implement, and evolve as technology is changing so quickly.

In its simplest form, I have three focuses when it comes to business - staff, vendors, and management.

Therefore, we decided to build a brand and a business that addresses each of these.

As a values-led business, we knew if we built a brand and a workplace that our staff were attracted to and if we attract, train, and retain the best people, keep them highly motivated and proud, the needs of our vendors and landlords would be well taken care of.

Upstate’s vision to be curious, seamless, enthusiastic and with more of a lifestyle focus was at the core of what we set out to deliver. A business and it’s brand are not just a logo. It’s an attitude, a sound, a tone of voice and much more. At Upstate, we can do and say things that no other business in Real Estate canwe are so proud of that.

‘US’ - our new brand magazine - is a celebration of the business owners and brands who are at the top of their game in lifestyle, home, fashion, and wellness. It’s an example of what can happen when the right people come together.

Leaning on over 100 years of continuous trading in our region and looking to the stars with the best people around us, the future is US.

We hope you enjoy Issue Number 1.

Directors’ Message Come with
on the journey to “better”

This year, Upstate celebrates 100 years in businessa magnificent milestone full of history, community, and customer service.

Upstate co-founders Peter Mosedale and Lachlan Yeates met at school and continued their friendship into the business world, beginning their real estate careers together in Freshwater. But that’s not where the Upstate story begins. While our brand is young, our origins date back to 1922.

In the early 1920s, a man named Oscar Weight bought a property in Oaks Avenue, Dee Why, for his wife and six kids. Shortly after, he opened the doors to Weight and Co. - a local real estate agency with a passion for people. Oscar’s son, Woodrow, became one of the most successful agents in the

For 100 years, Upstate has been looking after the community and helping people find themselves in a better place.

area. In the 1970s, grandsons, Bob and John Weight took the helm. As a family business, Weight and Co. went on to become the employer of choice, with a history of happy and long-serving team members.

Fast forward to 2007 and professionals, Peter and Lachlan, join forces with local commercial property expert, Vincent West. The groups merge their agencies, including one with direct lineage to the Weight family and Upstate was born. The prestige realty brand the Northern Beaches longed for.

A NEW CENTURY

Since its inception, Upstate has maintained a deep seeded passion for what we do. We have purchased, merged and evolved to become market-leading pioneers built on a proud legacy that incorporates forward-thinking vision, ambition, and evolution. Today, we remain well-known for our focus on lifestyle, team and community.

We are the Northern Beaches’ number 1 real estate agent brand, with over 118,000 prospective buyers and tenants on a growing database, 35% market share of the commercial real estate sector, an average record of 25% above the sale price guide and over 80 staff who are all committed to delivering the Upstate service.

Numbers aside, we measure our own success on the success of the people we work with. We are always honoured to be welcomed into people’s homes and given the opportunity to play a huge role in realising their goals and dreams.

As we step into the future and welcome a new decade, we will continue to support those around us, embrace the best technology, and deliver exceptional customer experiences for you - our clients and our people.

Good lives are full of long lazy days at the beach and beautiful clothes.

Homegrown boutique KIVARI masters it all while celebrating feminine style through seasonal trends made to last.

IVARI is one of those brands. It’s a brand you fall in love with after wearing one dress and swear you may never buy from another store again.

From floaty maxi dresses to elegant midi skirts, classic blouses, and swimwear, the creative team combine all the elements to produce collections that never seem to go out of style.

Founded in 2010 in Sydney, KIVARI has quickly grown to an internationally-loved fashion label with a cult-like following.

“Ever since I founded KIVARI, I’ve wanted to create fashion that expresses the personality of the woman who wears it,” says the label’s founder, Kiki Keysers.

With timeless pieces created by women for women, KIVARI has always stood out from the crowd.

“We understand what real life is like and bring our intuitive and lived experience to design flattering, effortless ensembles that celebrate women’s bodies,” adds Kiki.

KIVARI’s brand values align with many modern women - they are strong, yet feminine; free, and limitless all while being conscious of their impact on the world.

“At KIVARI, we see sustainability as an opportunity, not a challenge. It’s our chance to build a brighter future and inspire our community to do the same. We strive to consciously create beautiful pieces, seeking out the best alternatives to balance our operations with mother nature,” says Kiki.

“As KIVARI has grown and evolved over the years, so too has my commitment to creating a more sustainable future. Running a business, we have the opportunity to help people’s lives and the environment. For me, that means being transparent about our journey (we’re not perfect, but we’re trying).”

With stunning boutiques in Freshwater, Noosa, and Byron Bay, KIVARI continues to attract and grow a tribe of like-minded women who will always celebrate feeling comfortable, elegant, and empowered.

From small beginnings in Sydney, ZANEROBE is creating ripples around the world in men’s fashion. Learn more about the boys behind the brand.

20 // US
FASHION AND STYLE

You might have heard of ZANEROBE, a popular men’s fashion brand born in 2002 when a couple of mates made a bet over a couple of beers.

Founders and friends, Jonathan Yeo and Leith Testoni, shared a passion and vision for design. And when they started their label, they had one mission in mind - to design clothing they wanted to wear.

The popular Australian brand is famous for creating pieces that have longevity. Renowned for their Sureshot Joggers and Flintlock Tee, their collections deliver comfy clothes, top quality fabric and garment construction designed with strength, masculinity and quality workmanship.

The boys turn to travel, people, and life events for inspiration, so it’s no surprise their 2021 Collection, Couleur, was designed during lockdown.

Wardrobes aside, they spend a large amount of their smarts on sustainability and are passionate about building a futureproof and environmentally-considerate brand. ZANEROBE has set the ambitious goal of being Net Zero by 2030.

“We’re conscious of our impact on the environment and working hard to minimise it. It’s easy to find the ZANEROBE products that are sustainable - just look for the logo,” they say.

“As individuals, communities and businesses, we play an integral role in reducing harmful activities that pollute and contribute to climate change. At ZANEROBE, we’re addressing our impact at every level of operations with the aim to achieve an ethical, zero-waste supply chain.

“We strive to deliver high-quality, durable, sustainable and low-impact products in every collection we produce.”

From a small bar in Sydney to some of the biggest stores in the USA, ZANEROBE has expanded into boutiques and department stores in Canada, Japan, and Europe.

Along with clever and bold designs, it’s their gentle footprint on the planet that really sets them apart.

Imagine seeing an item of clothing you love online, taking a 3D body scan, placing an order, having it tailor-made to fit your body dynamics and sent directly to you before it’s even in the shops.

Welcome to Real Time Fashion (RTF), a fashion-forward offering from renowned Sydney designer, Daniel Avakian.

“The whole concept of RTF originates from my past where I was able to design one-off garments for people who could afford it,” says Avakian, who has dressed countless A-list celebs including Rita Ora, Mel B, Charlie Sheen, Jennifer Hawkins, Sophie Monk and more.

“Now the technology has caught up and we’re able to integrate it into our pipeline. Essentially, we’re producing real garments for hyper realistic avatars,” he explains.

Whether you’re at home on the Northern Beaches, Ballarat or Miami, the 3D body scanning technology is represented on an avatar.

“We send a widget to your smartphone. You follow the camera prompts which tell you where to stand and within a minute or two, we capture around 150 measurements and custom-make your garment.”

Real-time fashion (RTF) means consumers can get hold of all the latest trends and custommade fashion from anywhere in the world.

Daniel Avakian is one of Australia’s most innovative designers and his Real Time Fashion offering will change your fashion experience forever.

Plus, it creates a sustainable business model so the fashion industry can minimise waste.

“If a celebrity wears purple, we can capture it in a week without spending thousands of dollars launching a seasonal collection and delivering stock five months later, and hoping it sells. If the customer doesn’t jump at it, we can press delete,” adds Avakian.

Real Time Fashion opens up a two-way collaboration between designer and customer and a world of opportunity for up-and-coming designers.

“It will be a multi-vendor platform allowing vendors and young designers, like those coming out of fashion schools, to capture and produce their collections,” he says. “There are tons of creatives who will be able to utilise the marketplace.”

Welcome to the future of fashion.

What began as a small cushion company in 2009 has now expanded to some of the most sought after bedding, award-winning blankets, industrial canvas throws, must-have cushions, spirited wall art and more.

“Our limited edition collections keep the brand stimulated and the market hungry for unique quality in home goods,” says Creative Director and Pony Rider owner, Kelly Searl.

Alana Maria started selling jewellery out of her garage. Now, she has a popular store and design workshop in Freshwater, a retail shop in Byron Bay, and a creative team of ambitious young women beside her.

32 // US
FASHION AND STYLE

Alana Maria is 23 years old. A creative at heart, she began making jewellery as a child and sold her creations to friends at school and out of her garage on the weekends. Fast forward a decade, and the Northern Beaches local is building a successful business with trendy stores in Freshwater and Byron Bay and plenty more good stuff to come.

“When Alana opened her first shop in Freshwater, she had a couple of friends helping out in the store while she made jewellery out the back,” explains Brand Manager, Jacinta Harrison.

“She outgrew that space pretty quickly and took over the whole building. Now, we have the shop downstairs and a workshop and office space upstairs.”

Handmade and designed in Australia, Alana’s core market is women aged 16-35, and this year, her designs have branched out to include men.

“We had lots of girls coming in to buy gifts for their boyfriends for Valentine’s Day,” says Harrison.

“The men’s collection is really taking off.”

There is something magical about Alana’s designs which are bold yet feminine, dainty and strong, and cultivated on the principles of self-expression, empowerment and diversity.

“Once Alana starts designing, she can’t stop,” laughs Harrison. “Almost every collection has a minimum of 100 pieces in it. There are affordable collections as well as up-market and long-lasting ones. She has something for everyone, and her designs get better with every collection.”

Alana Maria is proud to employ an all-female team who are passionate about their brand, their products and their customers.

“One of the things we’re proudest of is our all female team,” says Harrison. “We have 30 staff members now, including ten jewellery designers, graphic designers, PR and marketing, and girls working on our social media and online store.”

With their sights set on growing the business and getting involved in events like Fashion Week, Alana Maria Jewellery is one top Sydney brand to watch.

Since it’s inception in 1931, Porsche has remained a timeless, luxury brand synonymous with innovation and class.

In 2019, Porsche Centre Willoughby (PCW) celebrated its 50th anniversary and stands as one of Australia’s best destinations for one of the world’s most iconic sports cars.

“For me, Porsche will always be the best car in the world, whether it is a Panamera, Cayenne, Macan, 911 or 718,” says PCW General Manager, Sean Lygo.

Sean will reach his 30th year at PCW in May and attributes the dealership’s success to the ongoing relationships they continue to build, with a strong, and passionate community of Porsche owners.

“With many long serving employees alongside Sean, we have created amazing relationships with our clients,” adds Marketing and Events Manager, Bonita Jones. “It is an extremely passionate community that particularly enjoys our special events and drive days.”

Porsche has always maintained an incredible capability of staying ahead of the game while remaining loyal to its customers worldwide. And as the desire for new technology and electric vehicles increases, they continue to lead the way.

“This year, Porsche released the Taycan GTS. We will also see more electric vehicles in the next few years that will be as technically advanced and enjoyable as our previous models,” says Sean.

As he approaches his fourth decade at PCW, Sean admits he still gets a buzz out of his daily drive to the office.

“Even now after 29 years, I still turn the key in the ignition and wait for the engine note and exhaust crackle, a smile and off to Willoughby! I have found it a pleasure every day to come to work. It is my hope that our employees and our clients feel the same way.”

A luxury five-star eco villa floats in the middle of Pittwater. With its outdoor shower and infrared sauna, Lilypad Palm Beach might be Australia’s most private and charming getaway.

Sometimes you hear about an idea so good your heart skips a beat. A concept so clever you realise you have to experience it to believe it - Lilypad Palm Beach is one of those.

Surrounded by the ocean, this five-star floating eco villa is the brainchild of Northern Beaches couple Chuck and Ash Anderson. Inspired by his own childhood memories, Chuck had the idea of creating a one-of-a-kind houseboat experience.

“I grew up in Mona Vale and spent my childhood sailing on Pittwater,” he says. “Boating was our family holiday. Instead of caravaning, we piled into the boat and went up the river. But the best part about boating is when you anchor and stop to enjoy the space.”

With a background in marine engineering and welding, Chuck admits it has taken years of hard work, unexpected setbacks, and impeccable design to get

LIFESTYLE AND LUXURY

Lilypad to where it is today. And as the couple’s second investment in floating accommodation, the design and interiors take luxury to a whole new level.

“Technology has progressed in the past five years so our latest design is more impressive. We’ve upped the solar capacity and have 20 solar panels on the roof. Lilypad has everything you would want in a high-end villa or penthouse, including an outdoor shower and infrared sauna. Everything is powered by the sun.

“We didn’t want to create something that wasn’t environmentally friendly and compromise on luxuryLilypad is high-level luxury,” he says.

With simple luxe finishes and Mediterranean vibes, the villa is built for two and has a stunning loft-style bedroom, complete with king size bed, lounge area, BBQ, Netflix and wifi.

“I’m not a designer,” admits Chuck, “But I spent a lot of time in beautiful homes between Mosman and Palm Beach when I worked as a welder. I saw things I liked and ultimately I realised if I create what I like, others will like it too. I’m usually critical of the things I design but I’m really into this one.”

Bookings for Lilypad are all inclusive. Meals are pre-prepared by a chef off site and delivered to the villa and spa treatments are also available.

Overnight stays are for a minimum of two nights and the team hosts long lunch events for up to 18 people. They also partner with Sydney Seaplanes and charter groups directly to the villa from Rose Bay.

So, if a private luxury escape is what you’ve been looking for - welcome to Lilypad.

Perched at the end of Kalinya Street, Newport, with spectacular views over Pittwater, Bert’s Bar & Brasserie is hailed as one of the most picturesque dining rooms in Sydney.

When Merivale purchased the Newport Arms Hotel in 2015, locals knew they were in for something special.

The Beaches’ most iconic pub, which has been bringing people together since 1880, welcomed a full refurbishment led by Merivale CEO, Justin Hemmes.

With 11,500sq metres to play with, an alfresco marketplace came to life beautifully, with a brilliant variety of well-thought-out food outlets surrounded by stunning gardens. Then in 2018, Bert’s arrived.

From its luxe fit-out (with a nod to the 1930s), lush European-inspired menu, over 750 bottles on the wine list and classic cocktails, it’s no wonder Bert’s is now one of Sydney’s must-visit venues.

“We want to create that sense of relaxed indulgence you experience on a coastal European holiday; to capture the feeling when you decide to order the fresh lobster or relax into the afternoon with champagne and oysters,” says Bert’s Executive Chef, Jordan Toft.

“It is very special, yet completely fuss-free – beautiful, fresh produce, served simply and elegantly.”

Whether you’re booked in for a lazy Sunday lunch or celebration dinner, dining at Bert’s is an experience to savour.

Walk up to the Oyster Bar for caviar and crabs or indulge in a meal from the live-lobster tanks. Choose beef, poultry, fish or pork for your main, roasted in the charcoal oven or over the Basque grills. Top it all off with champagne, cocktails or wine.

Soak in the views and immerse yourself in the experience to understand the true magic of Bert’s.

That’s when I found myself cooking for Keith Richards and Bruce Willis. Oprah Winfrey was a guest at the time. It was unreal! After that I lived in New York for six months working as Bruce’s private chef.”

Now back home on the Beaches, Belinda spends her days catering for special, high-end events and cooking for private clients like Justin Hemmes and the Blackmores Group.

“I love the clients I cook for because it’s not a budgetary thing. It’s beautiful food made from great produce. Plus their homes are gorgeous and that’s a bonus because I wanted to be an architect when I was a little girl.”

In 2013, Belinda’s catering business took a turn when she found herself making handmade marshmallows for a client.

“They were such a hit!” she laughs. “I thought `I’ve never eaten marshmallows like this,’ so we started the business, Black Pantry. A year later, my sister Jo joined, but it got to a point where we realised marshmallows needed a longer shelf life. I was a single mum and life was really busy. We both had a lot going on and got to a crossroads where it was an all-or-nothing moment. We chose life over marshmallows.”

Belinda originally trained at Thai Restaurant, Longrain, and still rates Asian as her favourite fare.

“I love modern Asian food. The beautiful fresh salads, clean, healthy, and nourishing food. It’s all about balance,” she says.

As for the future, Belinda would love to spend some time creating cookbooks and recipe writing.

“I take my inspiration from our beautiful land surrounded by the ocean, to create fresh, seasonal food that references a quintessentially Australian way of living. I would love to create some cookbooks and share my love of food with the world.”

Whether you’re relaxing in the garden or entertaining on the deck, the ability to blend indoor living with an outdoor oasis is everything. When it comes to holistic design and construction, Landart – Home + Garden + Beyond, are the experts.

These days, no dream home is complete without luscious green spaces that seamlessly connect indoor living with the outdoors.

From their studio home in North Manly, Landart consists of a dynamic team of skilled, creative, and qualified professionals. From landscape architects and designers to builders, landscape construction, and garden maintenance specialists, and horticulturists, their business capabilities are endless.

“Landart is not just about the landscape,” says Landart Director and Principal Designer, Matt Leacy.

“It is about taking a considered approach to the whole property. At Landart, we understand how the outside relates to the inside and how to bring the two together.”

From gardens and pools to outdoor features, Landart ensures all the elements integrate with each other to maximise the use, aesthetic, enjoyment, scale, and value of any property.

“A holistic approach is essential to getting the most out of a home’s living and entertaining spaces – whether they’re inside or out,” adds Matt.

As more people become educated about nature’s positive effects on wellbeing, Landart’s approach resonates deeply with conscious homeowners.

“People have reconnected with the outdoors and more are recognising the benefits of having plants in their lives. Plants purify the air in your home and can help you to create a better environment for sleep,” explains Matt.

“People want more greenery and to bring more garden into their home. It is a huge part of creating a healthy lifestyle, and plants complement architecture to perfection.”

Leacy says the team love working on Northern Beaches homes where people are looking for original ideas and care about the environment.

“People on the Beaches are a lot more creative than they used to be and do home design in a more relaxed and coastal way now. They are also extremely sympathetic to the surrounding landscapes. We love to do something new and exciting with every project.”

With great creativity and customer service comes great opportunities. In 2022, Landart is branching out and opening a new studio space in Byron Bay.

“We have a lot of business happening in the Byron Bay area now, so it makes sense,” says Matt.

Gartner Trovato Architects design prestige homes in some of the most spectacular locations in Sydney. Their superpower? Connecting life with the land.

90 // US

Sean Gartner began designing homes when he was still at university. Now his firm, Gartner Trovato Architects in Mona Vale, is famous for designing world class homes in waterfront and headland locations.

“I started very young and it was a process of five to ten years before the smaller projects started to attract larger ones,” explains Sean.

“One of my first projects was an amazing opportunity on Taylors Point in Clareville, with a backyard that looked up to Lion Island. How we built and designed that house changed the life of the people who lived in it forever. Now, it’s onto its third owners and they love it because of how it connects with the land.”

Since then the practice he runs with Luke Trovato has grown. The team specialise in signature prestige houses in a variety of stunning locations, including PIttwater, Mona Vale, North Curl Curl and Dee Why headland.

“Many of these homes are in water or cliff front locations with the most amazing views - this really opens up what you can do with the design. It’s magic when the house starts to blend with its surroundings and you get a feel for where you are in nature,” says Sean.

Gartner Trovato has also worked on a number of successful residential projects with Upstate.

“I’ve known Upstate Directors Peter Mosedale and Lachlan Yeates for 15-20 years and they are two of the smartest agents on the beaches. Pete and Lachlan understand the market and they’re one of the few agents who add to the design process - they inform us of what the market is looking for.”

Some Upstate collaborations include, Livistona (180 South Creek Road, Wheeler Heights), Qube (269 Condamine Street, Manly Vale and Bathers (4 Collaroy Street, Collaroy).

Sean’s team are also passionate about designing sustainable houses and have been educating their clients on how to build healthier homes for the past 25 years.

“Since the late 1990s and early 2000s I have designed sustainable homes and in the last five years there has been a shift - everyone wants solar on their roof and a house that is more environmentally sustainable,” he says.

“The best part is it’s not a choice that is driven by people trying to save money –it’s definitely an altruistic decision.”

There is a lot of appeal for container homes right now, and the global market is expected to reach over $73 billion by 2025. Not only can these unique homes be constructed within shorter periods of time, builders can produce high quality, sustainable and affordable homes.

Structural interiors Queen and Northern Beaches local, Alanna Smit, is passionate about creating beautiful homes that function for the future. Her world is one of sustainability, beauty and inspiration.

When Alanna Smit moved to the Northern Beaches 14 years ago, she was juggling her small yet rapidly growing business, an extensive home renovation and three bouncing babies. She would go on to become one of Australia’s most sought-after home interior specialists.

“My business was much smaller back then, but things have a way of growing and evolving,” she smiles. “It wasn’t always easy juggling a young family and a career, but it has been worth the perseverance.”

Now, when she’s not working on a project alongside one of the many reputable construction businesses on the Northern Beaches, or enjoying time at the beach with daughters, Maisie and Penelope, and son, Sam, you’ll mostly find Alanna dreaming up an exciting new home idea.

“I love creating homes that will grow with a family through different stages of their lives. Most of my clients want a home that is beautiful, but they also want longevity in terms of structural design.”

96 // US
HOME AND DESIGN

From Palm Beach to Bowral and up to Byron Bay, Smit has clients all over NSW and is happiest designing dream homes to last the test of time.

“On average I can spend up to three years with a client - I’m with them from the very first meeting and design concept phase to post-build, so we become very close.

“One of my first jobs was for a lovely family in Palm Beach who had three teenage daughters. Now, her kids are grown up and she has grandkids - I love seeing those relationships evolve.”

“Most of the time, I encourage people to invest in their property so they get the most out of it,” she continues. “I teach them you can’t just design for just now. I encourage people to think differently and consider pieces they’ll have forever.”

Personally, Alanna loves homes inspired by tropical living and grounds this islandesque style with her trademark earthiness and choice of timeless materials. She is also 100% committed to designing dwellings that respect the environment.

98 // US HOME AND DESIGN

“Fortunately, most of my clients share my passion for environmentally sensitive design. They want to understand how objects and furnishings are manufactured and where they come from. They are interested in craftsmanship, locally made materials and supplies.

“One of the best things about my clients is they want to be educated and honour the surrounding environment, so they can build a sustainable home that functions for the future.”

COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE 104 The New Sensations 108 Technology and Real Estate 109 Directors’ Message

There is no lack of talent in our beachside suburbs. Our watery surrounds and green open spaces are the perfect breeding ground for next-gen athletes.

At Upstate, we truly believe in giving back. By supporting rising sporting talent, local communities and businesses across the Northern Beaches, we build an atmosphere like no other and help ensure that we grow together.

Our growing list of beneficiaries include teen surfers, Rene Galloway and Jordy Lawler and competitive athlete, Mateo Tapia - dedicated young athletes with serious goals and great potential to succeed.

In 2020, we set out to uncover one more local talent. Thirty inspiring young athletes applied, from surfers and swimmers to dancers, skaters and mountain bikers. The top five were given $1000 and one week to submit their winning video.

Upstate is proud to support local talent, and our community, through sponsorships and fundraising. As our business grows, so too does our list of beneficiaries.

While we only expected to choose one winner, 14-year-old twins, Milla and Jada Brown from Avalon, won over the judges. The sisters are hardworking, dedicated to their sports which include surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding, sponsored by Roxy and dominating competitions around the country.

Community sponsorships are also a huge focus at Upstate. We proudly sponsor Collaroy SLSC, Dee Why SLSC, and have supported the Warringah Rats Rugby Club for over eight years.

This year, we are proud to announce a new sponsorship for the Manly United Soccer Association.

Over 70% of Upstate staff or their families have grown up playing or are directly affiliated with Manly Warringah Football Association.

Our team also advocates for many great fundraisers, including The Push Up Challenge, which raises money and awareness for mental health, the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, The Burdekin Association, The Longest Day (Golf Tournament) for Cancer Council and The Lifeline Classic.

Our passion for people and our community and our commitment to health continues to be a huge part of Upstate life.

Real Estate is a fast-paced and evolving industry. Part of our mission at Upstate is to use the latest digital technology to provide you with exceptional and effective service.

We are a digitally-driven, tech-focused and mobile-first real estate agency. Now, more than ever, Australians deserve access to the latest tools and cutting-edge innovations to make life easier.

Today, people spend more time searching for what they want in the digital world - Google, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and so on. Put it this way, if it doesn’t work well on a mobile device, it’s not part of our strategy.

We show up where people are. We know how to get eyes on a property and keep them engaged.

Our Residential and Commercial Vendor apps give seller’s live updates on a property’s sale, including

attendees at open homes and contracts taken. Our property managers and commercial asset managers use two unique apps, Our Property and Re-leased, to help manage tenants and landlords with everthing from rent payments to repairs.

Digital property reports allow anyone to access property reports directly from our website and our rental property reports let landlords see how much rental return they should be getting.

At open homes and on signage, our QR codes make it easy for buyers to download documents on the spot and our 24/7 website chatbox is always at your fingertips.

Technology is quickly emerging and shaping the future of real estate. Adapting to new technologies is vital when it comes to the ever-evolving real estate environment.

110 // US
We say technology is at the centre of everything we do but what does that translate to for our valued clients and partners, and how does it benefit us all?

The future of real estate is here because we’ve taken everything the industry knows and flipped it on its head. And none of that is possible without like-minded people who share our Upstate values and support our vision.

To all our wonderful contributors, creative partners and community who have helped us bring Upstate’s first brand magazine to life, we thank you.

As a team, we are extremely passionate and constantly looking for fresh ways to evolve. We embody wellbeing, always support our people, our community and strive to live our best lives daily.

Thank you for joining us to create something of value that supports the people and businesses we care about. Together, we are the future of real estate.
