Statistics show that one out of every eight women will get breast cancer. Preventive screenings, such as mammograms, are valuable tools at detecting breast cancer at an early stage, thus making it more treatable. Breast cancer risk is not the same for everyone! For many women, a yearly mammogram beginning at age 40 is sufficient to screen for breast cancer. However, others are at an increased risk of developing breast cancer. At The Breast Center, every woman completes a questionnaire about personal and family medical history.
