Abstract
The implosion of « critical regionalism » and architectural quality in front of the growing globalization is it iminent ? We know that this architectural movement can be considered for the better points ultimate in quality term. We also know that it answers, exactly to a site, a culture and to a program. While the society tends to fall in the indifference, in the excessive individualization, that an identity crisis is already underway, where is going to become the architectural quality? Is it lost for ever? How did the evolutions of the notions of place and space lead to question the existence of the critical regionalism and its architectural quality for the benefit of localized architecture from which the quality is obtained by means of the process of architectural competitions? Here is clearly the question which puts this study, that of the architectural quality in the planetary age and of the method to be used to reach its realization.
