Special Needs

Buildings used for Homecoming are handicapped accessible. Golf carts will also be available to transport alumni to and from the Biergarten and parking lots.

ATTENTION : NCAA Policy On Tailgating

“The illegal use and abuse of alcohol is contrary to the mission of the NCAA and destroys such fundamental values as respect, fairness, civility, honesty and responsibility. ...Therefore, the NCAA prohibits the sale and public consumption of alcoholic beverages during all intercollegiate events. The NCAA promotes only the legal and responsible use of alcohol by fans outside the stadium or arena.” Ursinus welcomes returning alumni for Homecoming who recognize and respect the NCAA Policy on Tailgating. Guests who do not conform to this policy will be asked to leave the premises.

Accessibility

Homecoming is a rain or shine event. Most activities take place on grassy areas and athletic fields. Brick and concrete walking paths provide access to most of the venues, however, wheelchair and walker access may be difficult in a few areas. Parking at the 9th Avenue lot provides access to an upper and lower brick path which lead to the festivities and games. Golf carts will be circulating around campus parking lots to provide rides for interested parties.

Driving Notice

Campus Drive no longer runs through campus from the 5th Avenue entrance to the 9th Avenue entrance. When you enter campus on 5th or 9th Avenues, you must exit from that same location. Attempting to drive through campus may result in severe damage to your vehicle. Most Homecoming festivities take place right in the center of campus, a short walk from either the 5th or 9th Avenue parking lots. If your vehicle gets stuck in grass or mud, towing will be at your expense.
