The city is next to to the Rio Santa Lucia and it has extensive natural areas, considered

This city located in the west of Canelones, was founded by the Spanish crown in the XVIII
century as a result of a treaty called "India Ordinances".
Since then, it has come a long way to the current urban structure, which includes an
undisputed environmental heritage. Part of it, are the wineries that surround the city
where worth a visit and tasting exquisite wines.
