Power Outage Power outages that will affect various buildings on Camp Red Cloud are scheduled for 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. May 11 and 12. For more information, call 732-6584/9079. Open Call Talent Search An open call talent search at Reggie’s Club on Camp Stanley is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 11. Single and unaccompanied military personnel have been invited to showcase their talents in a broad range of areas, including singing, dance, spoken word, improvised instruments and more. Three winners will be selected to receive $100, $75, and $50. For more information, call 732-5417. Town Hall Meeting With Holly Petraeus A town hall meeting with Holly Petraeus, assistant Director, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, is scheduled for 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. May 13 at the Warrior’s Club on Camp Casey. Ms. Petraeus will explain to Defense Department personnel and their families the specific mission and initiatives of the Office of Servicemember Affairs. Newborn Care Class A class – “New Born Basics/Bringing Home Baby” – covering the basics of how to care for newborns is scheduled for May 14 from noon – 2 p.m. at Army Community Service, bldg. 2451, on Camp Casey. Bring your lunch. Moms and dads are welcome. For more information, call 730-6609. Leadership Seminar for Military Spouses A leadership seminar geared to spouses of new unit commanders and first sergeants is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. May 15 – 17 at the Community Activity Center, bldg. 2236, on Camp Casey. Subject matter experts will offer briefings and other presentations on a broad range of helpful topics, including, among others, coaching, mentoring, time management, conflict resolution, protocol, family readiness groups, and use of social media. The seminar has been organized in conjunction with a seminar at Camp Jackson for new unit commanders and first sergeants. For more information, call 730-3107.

5K Fun Run A 5K fun run is scheduled for 7 a.m. May 19 at the Community Activity Center, bldg. 2236, on Camp Casey. Entry fee is $5. Deadline to sign up is May 16. Free T-shirts will be given to all registered participants. A $50 gift card and trophy will be awarded to the first male and female finishers. Open to single and unaccompanied U.S. and KATUSA Soldiers. The run is sponsored by the Better Opportunities for Single (and unaccompanied) Soldiers (BOSS) program. WIC at Camp Red Cloud A Women, Infant and Children Overseas satellite office operates at Camp Red Cloud in bldg. 16. WIC provides free counseling and other help to expectant couples and those with children age five and younger. Services include monthly nutrition classes, food vouchers that can be used in any commissary in Korea, as well as items needed for breast-feeding. WIC also operates at Camp Casey in bldg. 2451. For information on WIC at either installation, or for business hours and other details on the Red Cloud satellite, call 730-3436.

Army Signal Corps Regimental Ball The Army Signal Corps Regimental Ball is scheduled for 5 - 11 p.m. May 17 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul. Tickets are $75. The event is to be hosted by the 1st Signal Brigade. Defense Department civilians, Korean National civilians, KATUSA Soldiers, contractors, and civilian guests may wear appropriate formal evening suits or tuxedos for males, and appropriate formal evening gowns or dresses for females. The uniform for the ball is Dress Blue ASU or Dress Green uniform worn in accordance with AR-670-1. For tickets and more information, call 722-4113.

New Parent Support Nurse A registered nurse for the U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I’s New Parent Support Program works out of Camp Casey in Army Community Service, bldg. 2451. She is available to meet clients on their home posts, including Camps Red Cloud and Stanley. Her services are free. Suicide Prevention Hotline A 24-hour suicide prevention hotline is maintained by the U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I for anyone in Warrior Country considering suicide or trying to help someone who may be suicidal. The Hotline number is: 010-3762-0457.

Casey Library in New Location The Camp Casey Library has reopened in a new location, building 2403, across the street from Starbucks. For more information, call 730-3285.

Voting Action Line Eighth Army has established a Voting Action Line, at 7244071, that will inform citizens covered by the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act on their voting rights and how to register and vote absentee. The voting information and assistance provided is accurate and non-partisan.

Change to Incheon Shuttle Service FMWR Incheon Shuttle bus service during afternoon and evening hours has been halted during May because of staffing constraints.
