Canadian Specialist Hospital marks World Heart Day The Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH) in Dubai announced that it will mark the World Heart Day by setting up free clinical consultations at the hospital on the 28th and 29th of September. All visitors of the hospital can register for the free consultation that will be given by a general practitioner at the hospital. During this event, visitors of the hospital can undergo a blood pressure test, a blood glucose test, a BMI test and a smoker's test. These tests will assess a person's health, and will take 5-6 minutes per person. After getting the results of the health tests, each patient will undergo a free consultation with the doctor, who will then advise each visitor on the steps to better health. Speaking on the event, Dr. Yashar Ali, Chief Medical Officer, said, "Such events are of utmost importance as they remind the public that health is a very important factor of our lives. Most people overlook their health, and do not run the necessary tests to check the status of their health as often as they should. Hence, when we make these events, we want to encourage people to make sure they are leading healthy lives."
The event, which will run for two days, is expected to receive walk-in patients and visitors that arrive at the hospital on a daily basis. The event will include a set-up stall and will aim to raise awareness about the heart disease problems that are often neglected by people, especially smokers and people who suffer from morbid obesity.
