Countdown To GC Worlds

The 2024 Golf Croquet World Championship will be held at the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, in Hartfield, Va., October 18-26, 2024. The event capacity is 80 players. Player Allocation

The WCF has already awarded 37 ranking places and two wildcards for the event. Additionally, 37 membership places will be awarded by the member countries and four spots are reserved for the qualifier. The USCA has eight membership places. The following U.S. players received ranking places:

Membership allocation is due from all countries on May 16, 2024, and announcement of all players allocated should be announced within one or two days of that deadline. All event players are requested to submit their bios and headshots by June 16, 2024. Entry fees for the event are due by June 18, 2024, and the main event cut-off date is September 2, 2024. Any returned places after this date will be filled with additional qualifier spots.

GC World Qualifier Information

The WCF Golf Croquet World Championship will also stage a qualifying event held at the same venue October 13-16, 2024. The purpose of this tournament is to fill the Qualifying Places for the GC World Championship main event. Four Qualifying Places are currently reserved in the for the Championship, but this number will be increased if any places are returned after the cut-off date on September 2, 2024. Players in the Qualifier must be prepared to play up to six games in a day and are expected to have made a firm commitment to play in the Championship if offered a Qualifying Place.

A player who has previously been offered, or who currently holds, a Ranking, Wildcard or Membership place in the Championship is not eligible for the Qualifier.

The Qualifier Allocation Date is July 14, 2024, and all entries received will be sorted in order of World Ranking DGrade. The Qualifier Ranking List does not have a minimum game or current ranking requirement. If the tournament is over-subscribed on this date, entries will be accepted in Ranking List order and the remaining entries will be added to the Qualifier Reserve List. If a space later becomes available, it will be filled by the highest-ranked player on the Reserve List as of the date the space became available.

The closing date for the qualifier is September 29, 2024, and no entries will be accepted after this date. The Qualifier entry fee is $120 (USD) with a student fee of $60 (USD). Payment is not required until after the allocation date of July 14, 2024.
