USC Annenberg’s Media Center is a unique newsroom, classroom and incubator. This state-of-the-art facility provides a wide array of experiential learning opportunities for students to cover breaking news on the web and on the air and create high-impact journalism on multiple platforms.
With its leading-edge capabilities, USC Annenberg’s Media Center allows you to gain hands-on experience in all fields of the news media and to build the multimedia skills necessary to tell stories on every platform.
All USC Annenberg majors and students from across the university who want to learn about writing, podcasting, producing and more can be a part of the media center, where the student-led Annenberg Media newsroom is housed. Through classes or as a volunteer, you may work as a journalist, advancing to become a top leader in the newsroom with the opportunity to hone skills such as creating original social media content, working on branding, and crafting audience engagement campaigns.
The media center is overseen by highly skilled USC Annenberg staff and faculty members who have spent years as awardwinning journalists in all fields of media. Together, they guide you and share teachable moments as you tackle the day’s news and go deeper into topics that matter to the USC community.
