SPOTLIGHT ON

Ableworld Ableworld Newark, 1of 12 franchised Ableworld’s 24 stores across the country is now in the extremely competent new hands of Donna Wilson.

You may ask why extremely competent? Donna has had first hand experience of useful and necessary products and services after her son was born with severe special needs. Following a driving accident while pregnant, Donna brought up her son, until he passed on in November 2003, learning all the trials & tribulations of dealing with the NHS and trying to get the right equipment to help her make her sons quality of life better, at a reasonable affordable price and also make ends meet, working at a prison. Many of those must have items were only available at that time on the NHS and like many other service users, Donna struggled 8

to receive the desperately needed equipment that would make things easier for her & her son. Donna only too well understands how the cost of a life-changing product can be prohibitive and how those little (& not so little) things can make a big difference. Since taking on the franchise in October this year, Donna has invested heavily in new and exciting product ranges to bring the best and most affordable, products to the area. The ranges have expanded and now boast a Scooter & stair lift repair shop onsite as well as

other ranges not previously available. Staff & personal training is a high priority here at Ableworld, with Donna & her sister Jennifer, both going to Shrewsbury and Nantwich for training and the scooter & stair lift repairs staff attending training in Nantwich and manufacturer sites across the country. If you have ever visited a shop where poorly trained
