When you apply for credit or other types of borrowing, the lender will check your credit score to see if you are a good or bad risk. Your credit rating also comes into play in other situations, and has the potential to affect every aspect of your life. A low score means that you may have to pay an increased rate of interest to counteract the risk to a lender. This has massive implications if you’re trying to obtain a mortgage, as a poor credit rating can mean less product choice and higher monthly repayments. HOW IS A CREDIT SCORE FORMULATED? Really Easy Banana & Coconut Munchies Gluten & Dairy free with no added sugar Makes 12 Heat oven to 180ºC Prepare muffin tin or use deep paper cases. Put in a food processor or mixing bowl: 170g Dairy Free Spread (use butter of tolerated) ● 3 large, Free Range Eggs ● 2 bananas, skinned, roughly chopped (approx ● 170g banana flesh) - if mixing by hand, squash these in the bowl first ● 170g Gluten Free Self Raising Flour (I used Doves) ● 100g Desiccated, Unsweetened Coconut ● 1 heaped tsp Ground Cinnamon ● 1/2 heaped tsp Ground Ginger ● 1 heaped tsp Gluten Free Baking Powder ● 2-3 tbs Milk or dairy free substitute (I used Coconut milk) ●
Optional: 2 tbs dark baking choc chips (add to the batter & mix by hand, after making sure all other ingredients are mixed thoroughly) Mix really well, adding just enough 'milk' to make a dropping batter consistency. Divide between the 12 cases. Bake for 20-25 mins until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre. Turn onto a cooling rack & see how long you can wait to eat one! These will sink a bit after cooling because there is no gluten to 'hold' the rise but they are still yummy.

a partnership for life! Once upon a time, we started our career with an employer, and it was common to be there for our whole working lives. How things have changed! Most careers now span approx 10 years, before we move into a different career choice. Waitrose however actively cultivates their team to long service, and for those of you that visit Waitrose, Newark, make sure to congratulate Steven Ward, Branch Manager, on his 27 years of being a Waitrose partner. I caught up with him last week, in a light and airy staff room, in Newark to chat over his highs and lows, and talk of the future! Starting at 19, straight from A levels as a result of a recruitment fair, Steve, loved the ethos of Waitrose and put his heart and soul into achieving a position on their management training scheme. Unlike other companies offering such schemes, Waitrose used words even then such as Partners, and this inspired the young Steve to commit heavily to this new world of retail, a far cry from his farming background! His 27 year (so far) career began stocking shelves in Milton Keynes, but within 6 months Waitrose encouraged him to move to a new store and opened up a world of opportunity. Progression was
fast over the next 18 months with Steve completing his management scheme as an Assistant Section Manager, and being offered full time employment. Highs at this point were being involved in store openings and being promoted to Section Manager at Ely. Waitrose weren’t resting on their laurels though and Steve was scouted for further management training, in 2000, and completed his Department Manager training, going on to enjoy 7 years in this role across several stores in Cambridge, Suffolk and Norfolk. Cambridge was however where Steve was singled out for further development into store management. This training proved that Steve has what it takes to lead a large team and run a store. Bringing out skills of dealing with people and being calm and measured under pressure. This calm is apparent every day in Newark, as the atmosphere comes from the top. “As a partner it’s important
that I am seen, I’m approachable and am seen to do the same things that other partners do. My role is to support and set the example for the partners to follow. “ The Waitrose family, reminds me of the NASA story, where the Janitor was asked what he did, and replied “I put a man on the moon”, at Waitrose every member of staff is a partner and co owner in the business and everyone’s aim is to make family life more enjoyable. These values are key to Waitrose, and are quickly and easily caught up with new staff members as well. I asked Steve if this customer service is part of the training and was surprised to discover that apart from basic training that new co owners absorb the atmosphere and are inspired to deliver the same levels as others. 27 years on and Steve’s still inspired to deliver the very best experience to his store partners and Waitrose customers, one goes hand in hand with the other, When pressed about what he would like to do with his 6 months paid leave, awarded at 25 years (and still not taken!) he answered, that a Christmas off

would be wonderful. In the whole 27 years, he has never had a Christmas off work! Wow that’s commitment and underlines the personal commitment Steve has to his partners. Challenges ahead? Steve’s biggest challenge is equipping himself to learn, things change so quickly and learning and developing himself and his team is a key part of his role. “And how about the 40 year point?” (Waitrose reward at 25, 40 & 50 years) “This is the perfect job for me, I really enjoy my role and the people I work with. Continuing to be the best that I can and to pass opportunities on to others, to help fulfill and develop partners to make sure they are happy in what they do. I don’t take for granted how much I enjoy my job. I’m happy when I come to work. I feel really lucky to get paid for something that I enjoy doing.” How many of us can say that? What does Waitrose do for the local community? Waitrose donate £1000 every month to the local community, via the Community Matters scheme.

As an employer, students learn values and work ethics.

Research shows that approx £40k can be added to a property values if a Waitrose is nearby.

Are Civil Ceremonies the New Trend in Weddings?
Why are so many happy couples now choosing a Civil Ceremony over the more traditional church, register office or registered venue ceremony? We are living in an ever changing world and this extends to how couples wish to spend their wedding day. More and more couples wish to spend their once in a lifetime day with family and friends, and often wish to include family in their ceremony in a more ‘hands on’ way. This is particularly prevalent in second marriages, where the occasion is often not just the coming together of a couple, but the coming together of two families, where the bride, groom or both have children from previous marriages. A civil ceremony allows for this to happen. To be legally married, a couple must use a Registrar but the Registrar service is over so quickly that many couples feel a little cheated, all that time and preparation, the beautiful dress, the time spent making sure the marriage venue is exactly as you wanted it to be and in 20 minutes, it’s over! Sometimes the couple have a desire to be married in a special place, dear to them for whatever reason, their own back garden perhaps, or a woodland setting, a river bank in a beauty spot, maybe a night wedding, surrounded by candles and fairy lights. However, if it is not a licenced
venue, it cannot be used for the legal wedding and a Registrar would not marry a couple at night. A licenced hotel can have the most beautiful garden, but if the garden is not licenced, it cannot be used for the ceremony. This is where the Civil Ceremony, carried out by a Celebrant is an ideal compromise. A Celebrant can marry a couple where ever their heart desires, whether or not it is a licenced venue. A Celebrant will craft a bespoke ceremony, tailoring it to reflect exactly, the wishes of that couple. The ceremony will normally include a history of the happy couple, where they met, how their relationship developed, up to the point of the wedding and their hopes for their future life. It can include poems, readings or music that is meaningful to the two of them. Many couples chose to include a ‘special element’ to make their ceremony as unique as they are. Maybe a Hand Fasting, Jumping the Broom, Breaking the Glass or the planting of a sapling ceremony. A Sand Ceremony is a particular favourite where children are involved; the pouring of coloured sands in to a decorative jar signifies the coming together of the family, just as the coloured sands can never be separated, nor can the family. The choices are endless and your Celebrant can help you with making those choices
to ensure your day is befitting to you. The only limit to a civil ceremony is the imagination of the couple getting married! The legal marriage must still be carried out by a Registrar but many couples now chose to do this part, the day before their ceremony. Some do it at a later date. They simply attend their local Register Office with a couple of witnesses, having booked a slot previously, and leave 20 or so minutes later with their marriage certificate. A Celebrant service is normally a non-religious service but should the couple wish to have a religious reading or a hymn, these wishes can be accommodated. There really is no limit to your choices. Time is not a factor either. The ceremony can last as long as the couple wish it to last. After all, you are the centre of attention on your day, you’ve been planning it for months, why not have your guests focusing on you for as long as possible? Every bride and groom deserve to have exactly the sort of day they dream of – could a Civil Ceremony be the way forward for you? Beaumond House Community Hospice Use Locally Magazine and several local companies got together to support Beaumond House Community Hospice in our July issue, helping to raise much needed funds for the wonderful facilities and care available at this very special home from home. A very big thank you goes to the company’s who donated to the fundraising special and 100% of the money raised was donated to the Hospice. Beaumond house offer personalised, compassionate support where patients’ wishes are respected and delivered and where family members can be with loved ones in an entirely private setting. After-care and bereavement support in-house and extended through the Resource and Information Centre on Stodman Street in
Newark, where expert counselling is available, again free of charge. All care is provided at no cost to the patient or their family and anyone can make a referral to Beaumond House, whose doors are open 365 days a year and 24 hours day. Volunteers in day care, fundraising, and two charity shops, in Newark and Southwell, support the charity very significantly. All their contributions are invaluable. As
are the contributions made by businesses in the town. If you are able to help fundraise please visit the website and look at the many events they are running and how you can get involved in supporting them. Even a purchase from the shop in Stodman Street in Newark will make a difference. With many thanks to the following companies who generously supported this worthwhile cause. ● Chapples Autos ● Companion Vets ● Denton Retailer Systems Ltd ● Discount Appliance Centre ● Eden Hall Spa ● Greenberry Electric ● Hall farm Wild Bird Food Suppliers ● Newark Timber ● Pro-Heat ● Village Chic

Back To School Tech The best kit to pack for your kids
As if buying new clothes, bags and accessories wasn’t expensive enough, the back to school period also means buying gadgets - but which RQHV ZLOO DFWXDOO\ EHQHÀW \RXU child when they head to school, college or university? The right gadgets really do make a difference, but don’t rush to spend more money than you need to. Some form of computer is essential, especially for students away from home: it’s not just a tool for learning, but for communicating, music, movies and TV too. The key question today is whether a laptop or a tablet is better. Both cost around the same - unless you’re going for an Apple laptop, you can get a very good laptop for less than £400, which is around the same price as an iPad - but it’s important to check whether your child’s school, college or university KDV VSHFLÀF UHTXLUHPHQWV For example, some statistical software requires Windows, and while you can make Windows work on a Mac that involves extra expense - and it isn’t an option at all on an iPad. If you’re buying software, look for student versions: programs VXFK DV 0LFURVRIW 2IÀFH FRPH in student editions that cost a fraction of the normal price.
26
There’s no doubt that Apple computers are the most desirable computers for students, but they’re also the most expensive ones: Apple’s cheapest laptop, the MacBook Air, starts at £749. A better option may be to buy a second-hand MacBook Pro, as the 2012 model is still current, available online for around £400 and can be upgraded with fast SSD storage for around £50. Alternatively, keep an eye out for “refurb” deals. That’s when brand new laptops have been returned for some reason, checked and put on sale again. They can’t be sold as new anymore so they attract VLJQLÀFDQW GLVFRXQWV The other essential, for older children at least, is a smartphone. If he or she doesn’t already have one, the best buy on the market is the Moto G4. It’s a powerful Android phone with a price tag of just £169, and it’s powerful enough to remain current for several academic years. Once you’ve got the phone you can then shop around for either a pay as you go deal, where you buy credit in advance and top it up as required, or a SIM-only deal, which is a monthly contract giving you a certain amount of data, calls and texts. Reading is a big part of the
educational process, of course, and electronic books can save you a great deal of money. Amazon has just updated its Kindle range of ebook readers, and the £59.99 model is arguably the best value Kindle so far. You can spend more on Kindles with all kinds of whizzy features, but we wouldn’t. One other product you might want to consider is gadget insurance. That isn’t the same as an extended warranty, and it’s important to understand the difference: extended warranties such as Apple’s AppleCare don’t cover accidental damage such as water spills, which can easily do hundreds of pounds worth of damage to a laptop. Your home insurance or current account may already provide such insurance, but it’s worth checking the small print carefully to ensure the kids’ gadgets are covered away from home and that the excesses aren’t excessive. Lots of companies have insurance SROLFLHV VSHFLÀFDOO\ GHVLJQHG for students’ computers and smartphones, and sites such as money.co.uk enable you to compare the cover, cost and excesses quickly. Think BIG Loan Fund Business Investment for Growth Are you looking for a loan to help grow your business? The Think BIG Loan fund has been introduced to support those companies who may be struggling to raise working capital from the banks to finance growth of the business. The fund is managed by a team of professional risk finance specialists on the Council’s behalf. Think BIG provides loans to existing businesses that may not meet the banks’ lending criteria but are able to demonstrate that they have a viable proposition for growth. Have you been trading for three years, have a turnover of over £150k and employ 5 people or more? Under the Newark and Sherwood District Council scheme, loans could be available to companies in the district that employ more than five people and have a turnover of over £150,000. Loans will typically be for between £25,000 and £150,000 on a repayment scheme of between six months and three years. If you are an established business employing people and have an ambition for growth requiring more people that you unable to fund through a bank the loan fund team would be pleased to consider your business plan. The interest rate charged will reflect the risk profile of the business, but will be around the commercial rate charged by the high street banks with suitable security for the loan. There will also be a small arrangement and monitoring fee. Are you looking for support of between £5k and £25k for an early stage business? If your business falls short of the above requirements, or for other support available to provide start up and early stage support you may be able to apply for a Pathfinder Loan managed through the same panel of professionals. Pathfinder loans of between £5,000 to £25,000 are based on the stage of the business and purpose of the loan. The loan will be released based on agreed milestones and through agreement with the loan panel. TR Enterprises of Blidworth, specialists in Triumph TR sports cars secured a loan. Owner, Steve Hall said. “The process was really simple and pain-free and the loan was agreed quickly. We are extremely grateful as it meant that we could progress with our growth plans sooner than we had originally anticipated. What to do next?

Migraine Awareness Week: It’s Not ‘Just’ A Headache
Migraine is one of the WHO’s ‘most disabling lifetime conditions’. Yet it’s often poorly understood and trivialised. Migraine Awareness Week, from 4th–10th September, aims to change that. What is Migraine? Migraine isn’t ‘just a bad headache’. Suffered by three times as many women as men, it’s a complex set of symptoms often including headache, triggered by physiological changes yet with no known ‘cause’. However, triggers have EHHQ LGHQWLĂ€HG • Stress or excitement – although some migraines start when stress is relieved. • Hunger/lack of food, causing Ă XFWXDWLQJ ORZ EORRG VXJDU levels. • Dehydration. • Sleep (too little or too much). • Change of routine. • Alcohol. • Caffeine. • Prolonged screen time – due to VFUHHQ JODUH RU Ă LFNHULQJ DQG muscle tension. • Hormonal changes in women. • Environmental factors – changes in temperature, humidity and altitude, loud QRLVHV Ă LFNHULQJ RU JODULQJ lights, smells. • Jaw tension, coughing, unaccustomed exertion or illness. Migraine without aura: (70-90% of migraines). Attacks usually last 4-72 hours if untreated. The headache is usually a throbbing pain, often on one side, which worsens on exertion. It’s frequently accompanied by nausea and sometimes vomiting, diarrhoea and light or sound sensitivity. Menstrual Migraine (usually without aura) affects fewer than 10% of women. Brilliant Bulbs by Pippa Greenwood
It is spring bulb time in all the garden centres now. (YHU\ RQH XS DQG GRZQ WKH country should be crammed full of bulbs, many at an incredibly reasonable price, and all of which promise to provide glorious masses of colour, sometimes with scent, for many years to come.

Baskets like this look particularly decorative in the spring, and if you add a couple of ferns or ivies to larger baskets they will look even better. Make use of an outdoor table which is normally left out throughout the year. In spring it is unlikely that you are going to use it for outdoor entertaining, so simply cover it to prevent the surface being spoiled and arrange a selection of pots full of spring bulbs on it – the effect can be really splendid and will make eating out of doors even more fun and stylish.

By all means plant bulbs in beds and borders, but make this the year that you are a touch more adventurous and, if you don’t have any open ground in your garden and do your gardening purely on a terrace, patio or in a back yard, then don’t forget that there are still plenty of bulb planting opportunities to be had! Bulbs have the potential to make any garden look gorgeous but you can use them to add an element of fun as well as glamour, colour and perfume.
miniature bulb varieties look equally good beneath shrubs. Simply choose a suitable selection such as miniature daffodils or crocuses and plant them in a random or scattered effect beneath the shrub, taking care to minimise damage to the shrub’s roots. Keep them well watered in spring and you should have a fantastic display.

Buy To Let Properties Buy-to-Let is becoming an ever more popular form of investment for the future. Buy-to-Let is a property specifically purchased to rent out. Ever since the introduction of Assured Shorthold Tenancies there has been a rapid expansion in the amount of finance schemes available specifically for novice and professional investors to buy property that became known as Buy-to-Let mortgages. The benefits for a Buy-to-let investor can mean a stable income from rent, as well as rising house prices that have meant it has become a popular way to invest.

Buy-To-Let Tips 1. Do your research, and invest time in educating yourself about the rental market. 2. Consider what funds you have and what borrowing you need. 3. Find trusted professionals; mortgage lenders, brokers and conveyance solicitors. 4. Research your investment location: know your market, your customers, and what planning/licensing is required. 5. Test your investments against higher interest rates - how would this affect your yield? 6. Look at adding value to your invested property. 7. Take advice from a Buy-to-Let expert such as Belvoir to ensure you are fully informed and able to make the right buying decisions.

At 8am on Saturday morning, I awoke to the prospect of a blissful day spent pleasing no one but Yours Truly. Such is the joy of having grown up kids - no more gymnastics, swimming or football practice - hurrah! So, what to do? A stroll round the park with Olly, my faithful hound? A trip to the corner shop to splurge four quid on a ream of newsprint? A long leisurely morning in the kitchen creating my signature dish - jambon et Ĺ“uf buttie Ă la sauce tomate? Unfortunately, my hopes for the perfect Saturday morning were dashed by my dearly beloved Sarah, who had the answer for which I hadn’t been searching: “Tom, are we Ă€QDOO\ JRLQJ WR FOHDU RXW WKDW garage?â€? Knowing that resistance was useless, I peered through the dusty gloom and began yanking old bikes, boxes of records and other long forgotten bric-a-brac from the darkest recesses of the 46
garage. Then my eureka moment: “Sarah I’ve had a brilliant idea - and don’t look at me like that - let’s take this lot to the car boot sale!â€? Realising that the car ERRW EHH ZDV Ă€UPO\ VWXFN in my entrepreneurial bonnet, Sarah reluctantly agreed and so, with the Mondeo Ghia packed to the gunwales with twenty years of dedicated hoarding and with my wallpaper paste ERDUG Ă€UPO\ VHFXUHG RQ the roof rack, we headed RII WR D GXVW\ IDUPHU¡V Ă€HOG located somewhere in the neighbouring parish. In very short order I had set out my stall. Sylvanian houses to my left, fondue set to my right, golf shoes (worn once) in the middle. And so, with my thermos gently steaming, we waited for the hordes of bargain hunters to descend. Eventually a wizened old dear, nearly bent RYHU GRXEOH VKXIĂ HG XS WR our makeshift emporium. She rattled one of my Tupperware
containers (helpfully marked odds and sods) as I craned my neck in an attempt to catch her drift. “How much for this zip?â€? she enquired. I examined the dusty old fastener. “Err, that particular LWHP PDGDP LV Ă€YH SHQFH Âľ “Is that your best price?â€? “Yes.â€? “I’ll leave it thanks.â€? As the ancient shopper VKXIĂ HG DZD\ 6DUDK EHJDQ testily rearranging her gnomes. “Tom, If we’d just gone to the tip we’d be home by now.â€? “Did you know Lord Sugar began on a market stall?â€? Just then I spotted a mature gentleman sporting a handle-bar moustache and wearing a tatty blue blazer VXUUHSWLWLRXVO\ ULĂ LQJ WKURXJK my collection of 45s (for anyone born after 1986, 45s are small plastic discs which when placed on a

said, “By the way, I’ve put your application for The Apprentice in the bin.
Giddy with the expectation RI P\ Ă€UVW VDOH , ZDV MXVW about to announce the very UHDVRQDEOH Ă€JXUH RI D WHQQHU when Sarah stepped forward DQG VDLG ´7ZHQW\ Ă€YH please.â€?
Suddenly, the thought of my precious collection falling into the hands of this chancer had me incensed. Searching around the market for support I yelled, “Twenty quid? For this collection? Are you trying to insult me? Twenty!?
Fearful of losing the deal I decided to give the old chap some encouragement. “But we will take less! As the gentlemen wandered off Sarah glared at me and
“You scared him off with that ridiculous price! As the argument continued Mr Handlebar reappeared and asked, “Will you take twenty?
“Tom, we’re not in a Souk. Take the money and shut up. As the clouds gathered
we packed up and headed home, a total of ÂŁ37.18 to the good. The following week I was sitting quietly enjoying Bargain Hunt when Sarah plopped the local rag into my lap. “Recognise him?â€? She pointed to an article entitled ‘Local Collector Unearths Rare Madonna Imported Single’. “I knew there was something dodgy about that moustache!â€? “What I’m more worried about is the thought of a teenage Tom prancing around his bedroom singing along to ‘Holiday’.â€? And so the happy memories of a gilded youth recede just a little further into the distance...

NATURAL PAINTS
Natural paints are generally made using combinations of ingredients such as linseed oil, lime, turpentine, citrus oil, chalk and earth and mineral pigments. They allow walls to breathe, so moisture is not trapped beneath - useful if your house is slightly damp - and they don’t become statically charged, thus reducing the build-up of dust RQ SDLQWHG VXUIDFHV JRRG IRU DOOHUJ\ VXIIHUHUV %HFDXVH WKH\ DUH PRUH à H[LEOH WKH\ WHQG QRW WR FUDFN RU à DNH 7KH\ XVH HLWKHU IXOO\ UHQHZDEOH UDZ PDWHULDOV RU WKRVH WKDW are in plentiful supply, and energy waste during manufacture is kept to a minimum. Motoring
By James Baggott
An Interview With Lewis Hamilton... Bikes beat cars His garage might be full of luxury motors, but he rarely drives them, preferring to keep the mileage low and the value appreciating. Instead of driving: “I usually ride my motorbike. Sometimes if I get home and I want to unwind I might take the car out, but I want to keep the mileage low on all my cars! So I don’t ever really go that far.â€? He’s a British hero and an F1 champion and just after he won the British Grand Prix, we were lucky enough to be a part of a small group of journalists who were given the chance to chat with Lewis Hamilton at the launch of the new MercedesAMG GT R. Here’s what we learned about his views on road cars, racing outside F1 and gaining an inch‌ He wouldn’t drive in any other series than F1 On the subject of racing in something like the Nurburgring 24-hour race, he said: “I like that I can take [the AMG GT R] around the Nurburgring and have a lot of fun, but I don’t really have any desire to race anything else. The problem is, once you come out of F1, everything else is a step down.â€? At 31 years old, though, he acknowledges he’s heading towards the end of his career, saying: “That might change. I’ve been driving since I was 58
eight years old, so when I stop racing I’m probably going to have massive withdrawal and want to drive something‌â€? Danger is exciting Although no car racing appeals to Hamilton, he does say he’d like to have a go in MotoGP, because even riding his bike on the motorway is scary, “so imagine what it must be like at the speeds those guys are going.â€? On the subject of danger and improving safety, he says: “One of the exciting factors is when we get in that car and we know the danger factor is there. When I see Niki [Lauda], he’s just awesome, he’s a legend, he drove in a time when people were dying often. Obviously we’ve lost a couple of drivers in the last few years‌I think it is important for us in the sport to always be considering [safety] and always be working on it, but I hope the danger’s always going to be there, because otherwise anyone could do it.â€?
He thinks he’s matured For someone who has a reputation for speaking his mind, Hamilton portrays a calm aura and claims his years in racing have matured him. He said: “Age, I’m sure, has helped, but as you grow with the team‌you realise your place in the team, you know, what I say to the camera is what the guys back at the factory hear me say, and you realise that you’re affecting all of those people with the things you say, so I’m conscious of those things.â€? In a sign of the relaxed maturity we rarely see from him during race weekends, he says it’s important to keep perspective when you have a technical fault that’s out of your hands. His engine has 508 different settings Hamilton had a tough time in Baku after his team put him in the wrong engine setting. Team radio rules didn’t let them WHOO KLP KRZ WR Ă€[ LW ZKLFK prompted a discussion about

F1’s regulations. He acknowledged having fast, technical racing that’s also H[FLWLQJ LV D GLIĂ€FXOW EDODQFH WR Ă€QG EXW VDLG ´,W¡V LQVDQH how much stuff we have to study‌the problem is they’ve made the cars so technical. Of the engine switches I have, one is just one to 14, and the other is one to 14, but in each of those settings is another 10 options.â€? His colleague then mentioned that they’d calculated there are 508 possible combinations. He does what he likes Away from the paddock, Hamilton has grown a reputation for enjoying a celebrity lifestyle, and has been seen having fun on jet skis on holiday. Does the team tell him to reign in his extra-curricular activities?
“When I was at McLaren I said ‘these are the things I like to do, just so you’re aware’ and when I joined this team I already told them ‘these are the things I do, I’m not gonna stop!’ You know, I’m conscious, I never want to watch someone else drive my car, so I try to be as sensible as I can whilst having fun, which isn’t always the easiest balance. He wants to be a development driver “I was talking to Tobias [Moers, AMG boss] and I was like ‘you’ve got all this Formula 1 technology and you have the Formula 1 world champion

driving your car – utilise that! With all his experience behind the wheel, Hamilton clearly sounds frustrated when he describes wanting to change things about cars when he drives them. To get around that, the three-time world champion wants to do a “limited edition series, which I can test, which I can set up and be hands-on with the design.
