INTIMIDATING Ion Orchard - Orchard Road
Different play of scale in relation to the proportion of human to the building. Contrasting scale of the building layers from the street, the grand canopy roof and the simple dome entrance, evoke different experience to the people.
MUTUALITY Orchard Gateway - Orchard Road
Interrelation between the street pathway and the building elements that naturally supports the crossing for pedestrian. Complimenting proportion of static elements to the dynamic elements of the Orchard road formed an indirect interaction between both.
SAFETY Star Vista - Singapore
Sense of security and comfort can be seen by children playing comfortably in the middle fountain space. The sense of secure provided by the function and activity surrounding the space as the barrier overlooking to the center. It is supported by the space itself being the center of movement pattern in the building.
CAPTIVATING Orchard Central - Orchard Road The main spines of movement, creating sense of invitation and curiosity. Such feats are achieved through the emphasize and unique placement of its agent of movement pattern directly connected to the Orchard Road.
ASSURANCE Orchard Road Sidewalk
Juxtaposition of the linear and vertical elements that create comfortable circulating space. The scale and the layering between horizontal and vertical elements, giving the sense of security to the user of the walkway and create distinction between vehicle and pedestrian access separation.
LIVELINESS Orchard Road Sidewalk
Addition of the street furniture, art and sculpture that invites people to interact with along the street walkway. It brings more activity and interaction to the street and enhancing the experience of pedestrian on the street walkway through its form and the activity that it brings.
REFRESHMENT National Library of Singapore
Bringing in the greenery from the street side and incorporate its connection to the building. It enhance and bringing liveliness to the big open space in the National Library which serve it purpose as public realm under the building.
REVITALIZE Haji Lane - Singapore
Alternative access that attract a range of different business, different kind of people on different time. Through creative reuse and rehabilitation of the back lane as mini streets with alternative attraction, it liven the neighborhood of Haji Lane
FREE FLOW Orchard Road Sidewalk Permeability and seamless boundary of the pedestrian realm on the street and the building through the interplay of the building form, its placement and its relation to the street. Similar elements of the canopy of building and the trees on the street can be seen.

PLAYFULLNESS Clarke Quay - Singapore
Joyous feeling being under the Clarke Quay canopy attraction, children play happily on the water fountain under it. The canopy serve the very purpose of shading the entire area and it also brings amazement to the ones looking up from the street of Clarke Quay.
BALANCE Tan Quee Lan Street - Singapore
Preservation of heritage structure along with the emerging of new development are aim of Singapore development. The balance between both are achieved through careful planning without neglecting the importance of green spaces for people as it was also one of the aim of the city development.

The vividness of the colors of light and the setting of place with vibrant play of lighting set the main attracting point of the Clarke Quay.

Internal street on different scale juxtaposing each other. Various feeling of enclosure, one being enclosed at the side but open to above, another one being enclosed to above but open to the sides. The feeling of as if walking between two buildings.
STABILITY Manhattan – New York The city of Manhattan has the same vision of creating a healthy public space for the people, it has been thoroughly integrated to its every development of the city along with other commercial development. They were also strive to achieve balance of green public space and architecture.
HARMONY Manhattan – New York
Seamless integration of greeneries on the side of the street along the street of Manhattan. The continuous horizontal row of threes complimenting the horizontal movement pattern of the vehicle on the street. Row of trees also act barrier and buffer for the pedestrian on the busy street.
OVERWHELMING Manhattan – New York
Manhattan is a develop city, thus the language of the architecture has long ago flourished and form such an amazing scale, standing next to each other building. In comparison to the street and human scale, the massive view of skyscraper dominate the skyline of the Manhattan from street view.
LINK Manhattan – New York Linkage between city of Manhattan to the outside is . Through the journey along the bridge, it framed the view of Manhattan city from outside. It forms horizontality of movement and form versus the verticality of the city.
VIBRANCY Manhattan – New York
Manhattan city still very lively in the nighttime. People come to the time square for its entertainment and gather along the public space that is provided on the streets. A lot of signage with lights and its appearance to the people, create the contemporary image of the city at night. Similar characteristic can be found in Clarke Quay of Singapore or even the Orchard road.
