Welcome Week and Campus Housing Check-In Physical Activities Center (PAC) Students living in residence halls and campus apartments are invited to this complete one-stop check-in to USI. First, get your Welcome Week schedule and materials. Then pick up your keys and check into housing with the Residence Life staff. Before you leave, get your last minute questions answered by Food Services, the Registrar's Office, Security, and other campus departments. When you are finished tying up those loose ends, feel free to talk with representatives from local Evansville businesses. Finally, head for your residence hall or apartment where USI faculty, staff, and students will lend a helping hand to move all of your stuff into your room.

(APB) Synopsis: Marvel Studios delivers the ultimate comic-book film, which ties together such characters as Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, and Thor for a big-screen franchise team-up like no other. Taking center stage this time is Nick Fury, leader of the peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Fury, along with former Russian spy Black Widow, recruits a super team to combat Thor's ever-deceptive brother Loki after he brainwashes ace archer Hawkeye while stealing a cosmic cube from an underground base. Thus the heroes must learn to work together alongside outlaw scientist Bruce Banner, who can track down the artifact's gamma signals when he's not hulking out into a giant green monster.

Forum 1 Sponsored by Activities Programming Board The Activities Programming Board highlights the Cinema USI series with another great film. (APB) Synopsis: In high school, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) was a dork and Jenko (Channing Tatum) was the popular jock. After graduation, both of them joined the police force and ended up as partners riding bicycles in the city park. Since they are young and look like high school students, they are assigned to an undercover unit to infiltrate a drug ring that is supplying high school students synthetic drugs.

Disc Golf Screaming Eagles Valley Complex (next to O’Bannon Hall) USI is one of the few universities in the country that has an 18-hole Disc Golf course. Disc Golf is a cross between throwing a Frisbee and playing golf. You simply "tee off" by throwing your disc from a specific spot, and try to get your disc into the basket in a certain number of throws to break par. The Screaming Eagles Valley Complex is located near O’Bannon Hall behind Parking Lot E, so come out and play a round of Disc Golf!

Paul debuted "Mind Games" to colleges in the fall of 2010, and the response has been fantastic. The hypnosis show will be presented at 7:30 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m. Arrive early. “One Size Fits Most” and “Rewriting the Man Code”

University Center, Carter Hall Chris has always been a strong-willed, independent, funny-guy, but his internal struggles with weight, body image, and his own obesity eventually spiraled out of control. Entering college at close to 300 pounds, Chris found solace in food. His exercise plan consisted of walks to and from class and cleaning the fraternity house. If Chris wanted to escape an early demise, something had to change. In 2006, Chris became a contestant representing West Virginia on NBC’s The Biggest Loser. During the eight months to follow, Chris’ life was reshaped physically, mentally, and emotionally. He gained important lessons about triumph, personal rewards, and self-reflection—and he lost more than 100 pounds.
Today, Chris is still strong-willed, independent, and funny, but he’s also an athlete, marathoner, and triathlete. While his relationship with food is still complicated, it is no longer his only mechanism toward happiness or comfort.
One Size Fits Most gives individuals the opportunity to live a day in Chris’
mind as he reflects on his emotional connection to food, his “introduction to the gym,” on gaining the freshman 50, and his confrontation with friends, family, and his conscience. Many in today’s student audiences will relate to his struggles, while others will be challenged to imagine how the issues surrounding weight and body shape affect our interactions, societal values, and the self esteem of our friends and loved ones.
In Rewriting the Man Code, Chris addresses the conflicted mindset of the modern man, dispelling labels, limitations, and outdated expectations of how masculinity shapes our inner thoughts and outer expression. He provides male students with a framework to help them live a life with character, value, and determination.

USI is proud to be recognized as a Carnegie Foundation Engaged University, an honor bestowed onto universities that excel in community engagement. Our new students are invited to help us carry on that legacy by participating in USI's Welcome Week Day of Service. Students will be able to choose from 13 different service projects. The day starts with a brief kickoff on the Quad before students head out to their projects for two to three hours. Transportation is provided. Afterward, students will use their Eagle Access Card to get lunch and gather for a short reflection. This will allow students to share their experiences. Registration for the Day of Service is REQUIRED. Bring your swimsuit and sunscreen for a day of fun, swimming, water swings, paddle boats, land and water volleyball, basketball, free food, and more! The University will provide transportation from the Residence Life Center and the residence halls to take students to the lake, or drive yourself: Directions leaving USI: Head west on the Lloyd Expressway (Hwy 62), travel .5 miles, and turn right onto McDowell Road. At the stop sign, turn left onto Middle Mt. Vernon Road, and follow it until the road dead-ends into Posey County Road. Turn right and travel .2 miles. Turn left onto Middle Mt. Vernon Road, and the lake will be on the right.
