How to give USJTF Awards in Member Signatures as an Admin

Task: Give USJTF Awards • Conditions: Using the USJTF Website as a Major or above in the United States Chapters or a Chapter Commander of an International Chapter learn how to place USJTF Awards in the signature blocks of members on the USJTF Homepage. -Importance of lesson: USJTF Awards show members that their achievements, dedication, and effort is rewarded. We must recognize our members for their hard work at every attempt possible.

Award Requirements USJTF Awards can be issued at many levels based off the position of the member issuing awards. Levels of approval are USJTF Commander/ Division Commander/ Brigade Commander / Company Commander/ USJTF Staff and each award requires the approving authority to be at that level to approve the award. Below is the chart for approval at your level for the awards you can grant your members .To simplify and to eliminate duplication on the chart higher levels can grant all lower level awards. How to request awards? • Members fill out a USJTF Form 3 (Awards Form) Download here (found at bottom of webpage). The form is approved by the member holding the approval authority and sent to the staff at USJTF1@yahoo.com. • For Staff issued awards fill out a USJTF Form 3 (Awards Form) Download here (found at bottom of webpage). The form is sent to the staff at USJTF1@yahoo.com and award orders are issued to the E-mail the message was sent from. • All awards require the USJTF Form 3 (Awards Form) sent to the staff at USJTF1@yahoo.com so we can add it to our awards database. • You are authorized to add member awards when we receive and approve the USJTF Form 3 (Awards Form) at the staff level.

Find the member you want to add awards to in the USJTF Member list or on the site and click on their username to access this screen
Select modify profile and click forum profile

Scroll down and find Signature, type in what is seen below and open a second window on the USJTF Website using this link http://usjtf.org/forums/index.php/ topic,691.0.html

Find the award image for the ribbon you are giving to the member, right click on the award image and select view image info

Copy the link location and return back to the members profile

Paste the Image URL below the text you typed earlier Then add [IMG] in the front of the link and [/IMG] at the back of the link as shown below. Repeat this process for multiple awards with no spaces between each. For every 4 ribbons in a row insert the new link above the last 4 and press enter to make a new row

Click change profile to save

Enter your password you use to log in the website to complete the process

Next go to profile info and summary to see the change
The green bar confirms your changes have been made

The ribbon is now in the member profile
