IMPROMPTU PIANO QUARTET The Impromptu Piano Quartet (IPO) was formed in 2006 by outstanding musicians in the Hattiesburg area. As the only piano quartet in Mississippi, IPO has presented more than 15 concerts over the years at concerts series such as St. Paul’s Chamber Series (Meridian), Music at Midday (New Orleans), Showcase Series (Copiah-Lincoln), The Great 50 Days Concert Series (Jackson) and Sunday series at Lauren Rogers Museum of Art (Laurel). IPO also performs regularly at university campuses such as The University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg and Gulf Coast campuses) and Jones County Junior College. IPO has extended repertoire from composers such as Mozart, Dvorak, Brahms, Schumann, Schubert, Turina, Bridge, Faure, and Mendelssohn.
