The University of Southern Mississippi Symphony Orchestra has a rich tradition of providing our community and region with the highest quality in symphonic programming while focusing on the musical, academic and life successes of our students. The students in our orchestra come from all over the world to study with our excellent applied faculty and gain professional-level experience in our orchestra while honing their musical craft. Alumni from the Symphony Orchestra are performing in the finest orchestras in the world, teaching in the best universities in the world, and training and inspiring the next generation of musicians all over the world as public and private school music teachers.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND ASSISTANTSHIPS AVAILABLE Scholarships up to full tuition are available for all orchestra students based on audition -- a $10,624 value! (additional awards for housing and meals available for eligible students) Graduate assistantships with stipends are available for graduate students. Assistantships cover full tuition plus a $7,200 stipend -- a $17,824 value! INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS English Language Institute full tuition and fees scholarships for every ELI student -- an $11,000 value! (additional awards for housing and meals available for eligible students) Sponsorship level for 2019-20: $22,500 (scholarship award included in this amount) Required Health Insurance for 2019-20: $2,040
