A team at USU designed and developed a wireless power-transfer technology that can charge electric vehicles as they drive down the road.

Taking waste coal, a current environmental hazard, USU can make “Clean Coke� that is cleaner, cheaper, and profitable.

AQUAPONICS: USU researchers developed unique solutions for sustainable agriculture in arid climates, nationally and internationally.

SPACE DYNAMICS LABORATORY We send more student-developed experiments into space than any other university in the world.

SPIDER SILK: TECHNOLOGY Creating synthetic spider silk proteins to produce high-tech clothing, bulletproof skin, parachutes, airbags, and repair ligaments and tendons.

POWER ELECTRONICS LAB:

Wide-ranging research spanning battery life, smart phones, computing, lighting, power conversions and distribution, autonomous operations of wireless sensors, renewable energy sources, and energy storage.
