A person, a building, or even an object that can evoke a certain feeling.
I deal with my feelings becoming a newcomer to new environments that are unfamiliar. Finding places that redefine and contribute to the feeling I call home. A feeling of uncertainty and unknowing prevails; I relish the thought of finding tranquillity in this strange place. Showing—in essence—that home is wherever I am, and that it is not far behind. Fool me once, Fool you twice is a series of analogue double exposures, creating an amalgam of two memories combined into one photograph becoming a way of exploring new community identity and personal experiences. The photographs become a means of visual exploration, to make a seemingly fractured life into a whole: a story with a past, present and future. The idea that ‘Home’ is not a place, but rather a state of mind.
