BRYCE AREA This map was prepared by the Utah Division of State Parks and Recreation using OHV registration and gas tax funds.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRAIL Miles of Trails - There are approximately 303 miles of featured routes in this trail system. Routes include ATV trails, primitive Jeep trails, graded and graveled roads and portions of paved highways. Elevations - 5,840 feet at Beaver to 10,480 feet at the highest mountain pass. Panguitch has an elevation of 6,614 feet. Signing – Much of this trail includes portions of signed trails systems and individual motorized trails. There are, however, portions that have no signs and will require riders to follow the map and utilize GPS readings at intersections to stay on the trail. (Look for purple numbers on the map for routes that will probably have signs.) Best Season to Ride – Late spring to early fall. The section of trail in Buckskin Valley is closed from March 15 to May 1. Many of the high passes are snowed in for several months each year. Difficulty Rating Descriptions Easiest: (green) Gravel or dirt surfaces that are relatively flat and wide. Generally wide enough for an ATV to pass a full-sized vehicle. May be dusty but are relatively smooth with no rocks or roots protruding more than three inches above the surface.
More Difficult: (blue) Loose gravel, sandy, rocky or slickrock surface. May have short sec- tions that are narrow. Can have blind turns, steep or roller coaster grades, minor drop-offs, dust, ruts and frequent changes in riding surfaces. Occasional obstacles may strike the frame.
Most Difficult: (black) Rocky surfaces, sharp turns, switchbacks, steep grades, narrow passages, low overhangs, ledges and large rocks. Can be slippery and muddy when wet. May have tree stumps, limbs or other debris. Machines with low ground clearance may strike or high center on obstacles. Some riders may be more comfortable using 4-wheel drive machines.
