EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: PATRICK LOGGINS Congratulations to Patrick Loggins on being selected as Facilities Employee of the Month, April 2017 (pictured above with Chancellor Steve Schwab, left, and Executive Vice Chancellor Dr. Kennard Brown, far right, along with Emile J. David, Associate Vice Chancellor and Kenneth Bradshaw, Director of Facilities). Patrick goes above and beyond each day in fulfilling his duties. His hard work and dedication led to a nomination and selection as employee of the month. Being the supervisor of the HVAC Department can be one of the most demanding positions a person can undertake, as well as serving a critical role in keeping the campus facilities up and running each day. Even when fully staffed, it’s a daunting task, but when short staffed, it’s tough to keep it all together. Patrick has worked diligently to kept the pace with the work load, despite being understaffed and has ensured everything operates smoothly, specifically the projects for 910 Madison (9th floor and 7th floor) and 920 Madison (4th and 5th floor) renovations. He has also been working as the Boiler Supervisor, which calls for supervising the daily operations from the power plant, as well as working hard to ensure the power plant is supervised so that the PM department is taken care of when their supervisors are out of the office. Patrick, thank you for your dedication and for giving better than your best each day!

PROJECTS AND EMPLOYEES DUNN DENTAL PROJECT
ALEXANDER LOBBY RENOVATION
Work has been completed for the William F. Slagle Center for Dental Sleep Medicine and Craniofacial Pain. A general contractor did most of the construction, however, a few of the facilities carpenters and painters put the finishing touches on the clinic. The clinic is located in the Dunn Building on the 1st floor. Take a look below!
The Alexander Lobby will be renovated to design a more welcoming and energetic space for all to enjoy. The project will consist of new ceiling, LED Lighting, walk-off carpet (entire floor), metal panels to cover the elevator wall and to wrap the brick masonry, HVAC supply/return and a new architecturally-designed canopy to help with overall height of the space. Most of the work will be completed by outside contractors along with facilities carpenters, painters and electricians on the project. Below is a 3D rendering and a few before and during construction pictures.
